Very shallow, smaller than expected
Despite ordering the same diameter as the pan I'm hoping to replace due to the toxicity of Teflon and other non stick coatings, it is still very much smaller than expected. Will keep it as has nice heft, but will order a larger version as well.

Got it for 1500, value for money buy
EDIT AFTER USING THIS FOR 1 YEAR *** The quality is definitely not adequate for you to continue using it for multiple years. The heating is uneven now, with some spots becoming really hot while others not so much, as is visible in the water droplet splash test. The pan is definitely not bad, I still use it, but it would have been a much more wise decision to spend some more money right at the outset and buy a Stahl or Bergener or even Vinod Original entry is below - This is a well built pan, and offers good value for the price that you are paying. I have a Stahl Kadhai bought for 3k, and there definitely a noticeable difference in quality of these two utensils, even though both are made of the same 18/10 steel. The Stahl kadhai just seems more non-stick, more tough and longer lasting that the Hawkins pan So, If you are on a very tight budget, the Hawkins pan would do just fine, you wont have any complains with it. However, if you can shell out some more money, I would recommend going for more premium priced pans/kadhai's since we anyways will be using this for a lot many years!!
