Does this have holes on bottom of scoop, want to use for popcorn and want unpopped kernels to go thru?

That is such a smart idea, so I jumped up to measure the holes, lol. Yes, there are 12 holes and are exactly 5/16" in diameter. I, unfortunately, do not have any corn kernels to measure here at home. I tried to Google it, but the answers are too diverse.

Can you leave this scoop in the freezer in the ice?

Yes you absolutely can leave it in the freezer. I love this scoop. I’ve had mine for over a year and love it so much I bought one for my sister’s ice bucket.
