I flexed the grille pretty good and showed no signs of breaking, seems like strong flexible material. Will have to re-use old hardware to install. It is not painted it is a plastic gloss black finish. ### ⭐⭐⭐ A BIT OF TRIMMING and SHIMMING... *by J***D on Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2017* Quality is OK...I had to trim the top 3 guide pins on the grille and put washers between the lower part of the OEM bracket and the grille to shim it out for a good fit. 4 washers on the 2 inner most bolts, 3 washers on the next middle bolts and 2 washers on the outside bolts (2..3...4....4...3..2)<--- that is a visual of amount and position of the washers I used.
