Works well, but absolutely MUST have the correct volts and amps
This plug requires a charger that can deliver 15 volts and 3 amps and will not work without it.When I first tried this in a charger with 15 volts and 2 amps, it would only charge intermittently. Luckily, I had a more powerful travel charger which could deliver the correct output and then the plug worked perfectly. Just what I needed for my Surface Pro 3 tablet
I like my Surface but the special Surface charger never was my favourite. Just one more thing to carry alongside with the other chargers for other devices.Now that USB-C PD charging getting be popular around phones and laptops, I can carry only a 100W charger and one USB-C cable. With this converter, I can charge my Surface and no need to carry its charger.Also, there are capable 65W power banks too what adds to my old device usability.PS: if the device is not charging, you may use a charger what is only 18W. The LED will light but it will not charge. Try another charger.

I bought two of these and both do not work, neither charge the Surface Pro 7, the light comes on but the tablet does not detect a charger.

great as my original charger for my surface pro (2017) needed to be replace twice. this has been working great and much easier to carry with my usb charger that i would use for my phone too

Works well with Surface Pro 6
Works well to power a Surface Pro 6 when USB C cable is connected to a monitor that supports charging (only power goes over the connector). Only odd thing is that when removing the connector and connecting a different laptop to the usb c cable to use the monitor, the laptop doesn’t recognise the monitor - I need to power cycle the monitor to get it to be recognised. I’ve no idea whether this is a quirk of the monitor or a symptom of the cable, but hasn’t caused any issues now I’ve worked out how to resolve it.

Only works 80% or the time
Works about 80% of the time. Other 20%, I plug it in and nothing happens, and nothing continues to happen if I unplug / replug a few times. Have to plug the USB C directly into a USB C port, and wait until next time to try the adaptor again.Annoying, but just about not annoying enough to do anything about, apart from writing this review.

Does the job well!
This adapter is great for when I take my Surface Pro 3 somewhere with my MacBook Pro, as it means I only need to carry the USB-C charger for the MacBook. When the Surface needs charging, I can just plug this adapter in and it charges with no issues. Slightly expensive for what it is, but no problems besides that

Funktioniert einwandfrei am Anker 65W PD Netzteil.Das hab ich eh immer dabei für Handy, Notebook und Co. Original Reisenetzteil von Microsoft bleibt künftig zu Hause. Perfekt.Am Kabel gibt es nix zu meckern. Hält gut und dank Pigtail auf USB-C ist man da flexibel, auch bei USB-C Winkelsteckern.Ob ihr das passende PD Netzteil mit passendem USB-Kabel am Start habt, müsst ihr vorher selbst prüfen.

Works perfectly - if you use the correct components
This little cable is the perfect charging solution for my Surface Pro 6 (SP6). It makes the SP6 compatible with all of my existing USB C PD fast chargers and cables. (I also use the newest 3rd generation 9 pin magnetic cables everywhere.)I can easily move from room to room, and even charge my SP6 on the 45W PD charger in my truck.It charges just as fast as on the original Microsoft power supply, which I don't have to carry when I travel any more.Read the requirements for charger and cable carefully. (45W, 15v / 3A)You will love this little thing!---------------Update. After using this for a while, I did notice the same trackpad issues that others have reported. The trackpad on the microsoft cover/keyboard is not as responsive when charging with this cable. Not a deal breaker for me, but it is annoying. If you need to charge and use the integrated trackpad, you might have issues.---------------
