"Cool Grip" Comfort Gel Band for Wigs

This item has it's faults, but there is a remedy for the slippage: Swartzkopf "Got 2 b Glued Spiking Gel". With either bald head or dry hair, run a bead of the gel the entire length of the gripper, then securely wrap around your head, with gel facing scalp. Let it dry before putting on your wig, so it has time to stick like glue.But I also found this band to be way too long. I have a large head and it was nearly too large for me. It should re-designed.

Cool Grip is great on HOT days not just for holding on your wig, but for a bad headache too!!! keeping it in the freezer always gives you a jump on when you need to use it. I suggest you get 2 so that you always have one on hold. They fit GREAT!!! Not too tight, NOT to loose!! You will be thanking the Cool Grip when you are cool in your BEAUTIFUL hair, and looking around at others sweating in theirs. Give it a try. You can even sneak yours into the bottom of the cooler at the picnic!!! (keep that your secret) lol

Does keep cooler. Is gel based so thicker. Needed to buy really large clips for wig as Bobby pins cannot hold the band and wig and strands of my hair together. Is comfortable. If use tape, the tape does not come off of the band so the band has a more firm, sticky secure feel. Would definitely buy 2 at a time. Wig has feel of lg lump around forehead due to the thickness. Cannot see it but can easily feel it. Would recommend.

I gave a 4 for the product alone. The band is comfortable with the wig off. Within minutes of having the wig on I get pressure. Now that's me, as I get bad migraines and the extra pressure was very uncomfortable to wear. I had to return the item after trying it on :(

It felt comfortable at first,however the band starts to slide back after a while,had to adust several times throughout the day. Also I think the band could be a tad shorter.

Feels great at first, but eventually stretched out and started to tear. Also the Velcro would get caught in the back of my hairpiece and tangle the hair too much..

This is a must-have for your wig! The band stays in place and keeps your wig secure, even if the wig cap is a little small and slips due to your hair. No more pinning and adjusting all day and no more worry if people know I’m wearing a wig. Highly recommend!

Very disappointed. I find this product does NOT work and even causes less grip and more aggravation. It's to slippery and moves easily, it's also large and does not have enough Velcro to make it the correct size. I would suggest the Hair Grip instead. Also afraid product may leak if punctured by a hair clip or pin. May be a different outcome for someone who does not have hair but I find it does not work well if you do.
