Posing ability is perfect, aside from a slightly hindered shoulder articulation that due to shape and trasnsformation could not be better. The transformation is the right balance of complex enough for me to both enjoy it and be impressed by the ingenuity of it all. The design accuracy is on point in both modes with bonus features like the saw hand and visor for recreating some movie scenes. This is a great robot action figure and a cool car and a fidget toy when going in between, exactly what a masterpiece of a transformers toy should be. The included matrix and blue effects are nice but leaving them on the guns will strip some paint off the tips but won't look bad or anything. Should be everything you want in a Hot Rod figure. 10/10 and retailed at $35.00 USD

This figure is great. From head to toe, this figure looks amazing. The articulation is great and it can support a lot of cool poses. Great for display and play. The only downsides are the size for the price, as it is essentially a $20 figure with a bunch of accessories that makes it $30. Besides that, the articulation in the arms gives a little bit to be desired. Other than that then, the figure is near perfection, even competing with the masterpiece representations in my perspective. This product is an instant buy for anyone looking for a good-looking, streamlined figure that looks spectacular. The only thing that brings it down slightly is once again the price. Takara Tomy and Hasbro really outdid themselves this time!

The figure is a must buy for any transformer collector the articulation is amazing and looks just like hot rod from the 1986 movie. He comes with a lot of accessories which makes up for the deluxe class size really does feel like a masterpiece figure. Transformation a little bit tricky to get everything to tap in correctly so there is clearance for the wheels to move, overall a perfect transformers studio series figure to add to the 86 movie.

Absolutely in love with it! Great quality and design for the price. I’m a huge fan of the Transformers series as a child from the 80’s. This is a must have for all the fans out there. Also, great job by Amazon delivering my pre-order 2+ months ahead of the listed date. My only wish now is my other 5 preordered Transformers Studio Series 86 would come ASAP. A message to Hasbro/Takara, please continue this quality and design with this 86 series! Also, please continue to expand this product line for us fans! I can’t wait for your upcoming releases.

It looks great. The transformation is not easy

Simply amazing. I prefer this to the Masterpiece Edition that I paid 4 times as much for a few years back. Robot and alt modes are both spot-on (with the exception of his "collar", which should be red, but would probably be a nightmare for production). I was surprised by how light it was when I took it out of the packaging. The joints are all snug and overall it's just a fantastic representation of the character.The transformation is a little complex, and the instructions, at least to me, were not very helpful, so it might be a good idea to find a YouTube video where someone talks you through it and points out the spots to be careful with. The legs don't seem to work out so great in alt mode, though thankfully everything tabs into place. These are minor complaints, and I have to say, as someone who's been collecting these off and on since a kid, this is probably one of my Top 5 favorites of all time...maybe even Top 3. Definitely my favorite version of this character.Highly recommended!

If you're looking for a Hotrod figure for your collection, this is the one you want. I was blown away with how good it looks and how much fun it was to transform and pose.It's not often I give a figure a 10/10 rating, but this is definitely one that deserves it, in my opinion. :)

Warmth was an option? I guess this qualifies since it’s Hot Rod! This figure is extremely detailed and the colors match the movie perfectly. Lots of great accessories and weapons, also comes with the matrix of leadership! Even the box is nice with a cutout on the side showing a plastic window over the nostalgic “86” on the side. This figure is VASTLY superior to the original hot Rod and Rodimus figures. I like that these studio versions try to faithfully represent the screen versions of their characters. Anyone remember how little resemblance there was between the Ironhide toy and the show? They’ve come a long way. 8-)

It is a perfect recreation of the hot rod from the 86 movie from robot mode to vehicle mode it’s just perfect

I didn't know until I got this that it had the visor that goes over his eyes when he sees the Decepticons in the movie I was not expecting that little feature. He looks great and is a nice addition to anyone's Transformers collection.

It's worth buying from Amazon as always.
