Reliable, Accurate, and Built for the Job
As a technician, having a dependable megohmmeter is a must — and this one delivers. Right out of the box, the build feels solid, with a rugged, rubberized housing that gives confidence it can handle the field. I’ve used it for testing motors, compressors, and insulation on wiring, and the readings are consistent and accurate every time. The display is bright and easy to read, even outdoors. I also appreciate the auto-discharge feature after testing — a safety must. The leads are quality too, with strong alligator clips that hold securely during testing.

Cheap, reliable and simple. Love it.
I've been using these at work and love them. Light weight, simple to use and reliable. This will not get down to the finer details of measuring resistance readings but will tell you where the weak spots are in a circuit. The lower cutoff point on this meter's scale is 20 Megaohms, well above levels I have seen circuits operating without tripping overloads or breakers. All of the problem circuits I've diagnosed with my expensive Fluke megger have shown less than 1 Megaohm from conductor to ground. I still love this meter, though, because it is so light and compact. I also like that I can attach the alligator clips and leave one hand free to wiggle wires in the conduit on intermittent problems while I press the test button with the other. I have thus far not misdiagnosed a motor with this meter but I usually go get my Fluke 1507 if I am in doubt. You will love this megger.

We’re checking motors
I thought that I would use this a lot. I don’t use it a lot. I don’t use. It is bad if it’s your motor could put power to it don’t move is definitely bad or maybe you have a bad capacitor. If you have a meter and you know how to use it same thing it is a nice tool though

For the price, unbeatable
Needed to check for insulation degradation between my house and a distant outdoor subpanel. Easy to use, simple to interpret. Took off one star because... C batteries, really? I have a stockpile of batteries, but exactly two Cs in the entire house, had to raid the kid's camping lantern.

Must have tool if working on HVAC
I do maintenance for living and this helps identify those units that ohms out well but just don't seem to be working to full capacity.

Made a Great Gift
My son, who is an air conditioning tech, wanted this for Christmas so I got it for him and he reported back to me that he wished he had one earlier because he used it to show customers the results on the meter and he sold two units that he might not have sold otherwise. He is very scrupulous to not try to sell customers new units unless they are needed and customers are wary of techs trying to sell them units before they are needed. He felt very secure in telling the customers that they would soon need a new unit based on the meter's readings. It served as an honest and effective sales tool which also saved the homeowners problems of a future breakdown. He profusely thanked me for this gift.
