Q: Can i make regular cell phone calls?

With WiFi only iPad you can make calls from the iPad. First you must setup your iPhone on the same Apple ID and then turn on “Calls on Other Devices.” Then go to your iPad and open the Contacts app and open a contact,. At the top you should see “Audio” and tap on that to call the person without FaceTime. This only works on the ipad when on WiFi and connected to an iPhone.

Q: Is there a usb port add on that will work for this model

There are plenty of USB-C accessories that work with this iPad. Basically anything that works with the newer iPad Pros work with the gen-4 Air. I bought this super-useful dock on Amazon that connects to the iPad's USB-C port and gives you all these extra goodies: 1. Extra USB-C port so that the iPad can keep charging while connected to a hard drive or other peripherals. 2. HDMI 2.0 - supports up to 4k@30Hz 3. USB 3.0 A port (full size) 4. SD card reader 5. Micro SD card reader 6. 3.5mm headphone jack
