Good for peace of mind
I've seen this product appearing more and more on my social media and I love a gadget so was keen to try it. Yes it is quite pricey but the peace of mind it brings makes up for that. Everything is beautifully packaged and very easy to set up. I like that you get several different sock sizes so that it can grow with your child. I can't say if it is comfortable to wear as I'm not the one wearing it but it doesn't seem to bother my little one. The socks are lovely and soft and the velcro seems pretty secure. We have only had yellow alerts (thankfully) usually due to wriggling and I really like that rather than a shrill, upsetting alarm sound it plays hush little baby. It's loud enough to get your attention but not a scary sound. I regularly look at the graphs in the app to see how baby has slept and I've found it quite interesting. I also like the little information bits about my baby's development in the guide section of the app.The battery life is brilliant and it charges very quickly. The app is very easy to use and I like that it is personalised with your baby’s information.Overall a very good product. I will definitely continue to use it as my little one grows. I'm sure that it will become more important once they are in their own room too.

Definitely recommend for peace of mind
This has given me so much peace of mind, it is expensive but baby is now 3 months and I feel it has been good value for money so if I continue to use it for another year then it will be even better. I worked out the price per week if I was to use it for 18 months and it is well worth it.Battery life is good, you get a full night and then some for days when baby hasn’t been very well so I’ve wanted to leave it on longer. Then it charges quite fast ready for the next night. I find the accuracy is good, it’s only alerted me once and I had already phoned the doctor an hour before as I was worried about baby not being well so this just affirmed it for me. It doesn’t replace common sense, if you are worried about baby being unwell then you should get him or her checked. But it does allow me to sleep knowing it will alert if baby needs urgent attention.

For when you need extra reassurance
We bought the owlet sock after our 8 month old stopped breathing and collapsed shortly after waking up in the morning and I needed to give her CPR.Although she’s been given the all clear with no underlying medical issues, we wanted to be able to immediately respond if it ever happened again, especially whilst she sleeps. So far the owlet has given us exactly that:Setup was relatively straightforward although there were some issues pairing the sock to the station and assigning them. The online chat was helpful in sorting this. The sock comes in two sizes and can be worn on either feet (total of 4 socks) up to around 18 months of age. There is only one sensor that is swapped out between the various socks. Fitting the sock is actually very straightforward without much fussing.Readings are relatively accurate and matched the SATS and HR we saw in the hospital stay. That said it’s almost impossible to do a direct comparison unless you have medically certified equipment to hand to verify. The base station and application respond quickly enough to change in circumstances (e.g. loss of signal, movement, drop in metrics). So far we’ve had no false positives but our greater concern is false negatives which again are harder to verify. The sleep log is a clever bit of algorithms combined with readings and on review is a generally good indicator of how well or poorly your little one sleeps.Overall very impressed and pleased with the kit. For the average parent and child with no underlying issues i wouldn’t think it all that useful (if anything, more anxiety inducing for all parties). For those who have serious concerns and are actually soothed by the metrics it delivers then I’d highly recommend.

Great for parents of reflux/breathing issue babies or just anxious parents
I originally didn't think we would be using the Owlet sock much and for the first 3 weeks or so we didn't use it at all. However, our little one had a bad case of silent reflux which resulted in a lot of throat discomfort and breathlessness periods in the early days and then later in coughing fits once he had developed some defence mechanisms. The Owlet sock has let both of us sleep about 15% more because on the days when his breathing sounds odd or laboured, I'm able to check the owlet data to make sure it's just a strange noise rather than something affecting his oxygen levels. This means I'm able to fall asleep and I don't wake him up to change his position either so double win! There are a couple of negative points however:+ You can't get readings from the sock without the base station. This means that if your wi-fi is down or more importantly, if you're out of the house, the sock is unusable. This is the biggest downside for me because the position that babies are in when they are in car seats is constricting to the chest area so it would be particularly useful on car journeys, especially longer ones.+ If your baby is a wriggler, likes to grab his feet or generally rub them together, you're going to get a bunch of 'false' warnings from the base station because the sock is moved out of place - the most annoying part about this is that the notification from the base station is loud enough to wake up the baby!+ The base station wasn't super obvious to set up but I messaged customer service over the chat in the app and they helped straight away. For us, the peace of mind was ultimately very much worth the hefty price tag. But if we'd had a baby with no reflux/breathing issues, I probably would have used it for a couple of days and then forgotten about it.

Reassurance for parents
One of our twins experienced some difficulty breathing not long after coming home from the hospital. We both spent a couple of sleepless nights worrying about whether she’d be okay. We decided to invest in the Owlet so we’d get a warning if there was anything wrong again. We have found it easy to use, accurate - with very few false alarms, and most of all reassuring. We believe it would afford us the opportunity to intervene if anything were wrong. We’d definitely recommend it if you have a premature baby, if they’ve experienced any complications, breathing difficulties or other problems after birth. It’s not inexpensive but it is worth it

Terrible product
This is an absolutely awful product, you would expect it to work properly, efficiently and reliably, not only because of the price of the item, but also because of the importance of what it claims to monitor. Unfortunately we have had countless instances, usually up to 3/4 times per night where the Owlet app/monitor claims to have ‘lost connection’ when this happens, the base station flashes blue and sings a tune, as well as a notification on my phone, this in term startles and wakes my peaceful sleeping baby and causes disturbances and difficult night and nap wakings for no reason. I would understand if this was actually the case, however as soon as I click the base station to ‘pause’ the notification, it starts glowing green again immediately, which indicates secure connection and getting readings or if I click into the app to ‘pause’ the notification, as soon as the app opens, the notification is gone and I can see readings etc - which again indicates a secure connection and getting readings. We have no issues with our Wi-Fi (we have no issues with our phones, computers, gaming consoles etc and even have an added router in our bedroom ‘just in case’) the sock is fully charged and cleaned regularly as advised, the sock and base station are well within range of one another (it is in the same room and same side as the baby) and there are no issues with placement (this presents different in notification/glowing colour and is also checked when it ‘looses connection’), not only that, but the fact as soon as the notification is paused it immediately shows readings, shows this notification is coming up incorrectly and causing sleep disturbances, distress and is just generally unreliable and really disappointing. We can no longer use our item, for which we paid over £200 for, less than six months ago as it is too unreliable. Complete and utter waste of money and useless.

Peace of mind for a terrified new Dad
After my son was born and we finally got to take him home from the hospital, I came over with this dreaded fear that something was going to happen to him whilst me and my wife slept. The fear was so bad that I spent the first few nights just sitting up and watching him. This drove me to complete exhaustion.I purchased the Owlet with the idea that it would monitor my son whilst I slept, relieving all of the fear and anxiety I was feeling.I am happy to report that it has done the trick. I feel a million times better going to sleep now, as I know I will be alerted if his oxygen or heart rate drops. The app is easy to use and setup was a breeze. I have had a couple of times where the sock loses connection to the base station, but plugging the sock back into the charging port seemed to fix it.If you’re anxiety about something happening to your baby whilst you sleep, I cannot recommend this enough. £200 for peace of mind is well worth it to me.

Saved my first mum anxiety!!
I can actually sleep thanks to this amazing product!! I had very bad anxiety for the first weeks of being a new mum and I had put off buying this but the minute we did, I actually got (some) sleep, it does alert for things like if they cry- we had it on before an over tired meltdown and the alarm went off and scared all 3 of us lol, but it also went off when he was nestled in my shoulder for a cuddle and had obv nestled in too far and his air quality went down, I panicked and quickly stood up with him but it immediacy went back to normal.Sometimes in the night I will just roll over to my phone to check his levels and then get back to sleep. Highly recommend if you struggle with nerves and anxiety as a new mum!!

👶 Peace of mind for new parents
The Owlet Smart Sock 3 has worked flawlessly since we started using it. The setup was simple and the app is easy to understand. It gives us real peace of mind knowing we can keep an eye on our baby’s heart rate and oxygen levels while he sleeps. The notifications are reliable and it’s helped both of us sleep better at night. Definitely worth it for the reassurance alone.

Peace of mind
The battery last quite a while Which is nice because let’s be honest with the new baby you’re in bed for 12 hours but only getting 3 to 4 hours sleep I bought this one from the hospital with my son he was born with a rare kidney disease so I bought this for peace of mind so I can get some sleep
