Bought this to go on the table in our Motorhome. The lights in the van burn extra white. Not particularly pleasant. This lamp and the lamps/bulbs bought, make the room warmer with less white/bright intensity and saves the leisure battery. The product does not come with a bulb, despite initial impressions, when looking at the marketing pictures on this site. The cable is covered in a robust, woven brown material, which helps with the old look. And, the body of the lamp allows for the cable to be wound around it for storage. It has a compact footprint. Pleased with the purchase.

A very cool base. I did find the bulb required a little fiddling to get it straight, so it's not perfect. That said. The base is solid and metal, at least I think it is, its certainly what I would call reassuringly weighty. The goldy coloured lead is an interesting touch. Wasn't sure if I liked it at first but it just adds to the feel. The feature bulb there is a 240 lumen bulb. I found this too bright to appreciate the aesthetics of the two together. I've since switched it out for a 40 lumens smoked glass slightly shorter version. Works like a charm. I want it to look at, a feature, not light the room. This item isn't dimmable, and neither are alot of the more intriguing feature bulbs. I've got an oversized 200 lumen bulb which looks great in it - again, too bright for me though so we use this and that bulb as more an ornament, left off. Happy with this, and should it continue to perform well I could be picking up another couple of them. Good value compared to some of the rubbish out there. Easy 5 stars at the moment, just a couple of elements they could improve as mentioned. I hope you found this review helpful, appreciate if you'd let me know if you did :)
