I absolutely loved this DIY crossword kit! It is so expensive to buy it already done for you, so I wanted to save some money and give this as a gift! I first used a wood stain and covered all of the tiles. I then used the stencil and used a foam brush to paint a light peach acrylic paint over the stain and I did that twice. I then put 2 coats of modge podge over it to make it shiny and protect it. After to put it onto the wall I bought velcro strips and put them all on the letters first and figured out where I wanted it on the wall. (the reason the velcro strip is green is because I painted our walls after I stuck the velcro strips on it and didn't want to go through sticking it onto the wall again, because it takes some time) The quality is great and a perfect thickness. Overall, I love this. Everyone always comments on it and says it is amazing! This is a somewhat easy project if you have the time on your hands and you save a lot of money doing it. The quality is amazing and it is so much more special that I created it myself. I highly recommend this product and hope you all love it as much as I do!

Very sturdy. I was able to use them for almost anything I put my mind to. Very thick with no cracking or chipping.

Fun project for a family or game night

These are what I expected

I bought this as a DIY to bring our living room together. We decided to stain the tiles which was super easy. I will say the wood is pretty thin but a good size. Very easy to stain, only took one coat. It came with stencils so we then stenciled our letters onto the wood with white paint. We did tape the stencils to the tiles with blue painters tape because the stencils tend to move easily. We then super glued them to thicker pieces of wood and added frame hooks in a couple places.(I also didn’t know there was a website to generate a crossword for your names, so that’s a good tool if you’re interested!)It came with a ton of stencils and we had a ton of tiles left over. It took about a weekend to make so a fun little weekend project. We’ve gotten a ton of compliments on it!

These are so neat we used ours to make our families names as a puzzle. Cute and affordable.

I loved how this DIY kit came out. I stained the wooden pieces with wood stain, used a light coat of modge podge over stencils to hold them down (I suggest this to prevent bleed through), and spray painted the white on. The wood is a little thin but looks fine once on the wall
