Very light but needs care putting up properly - watch the video!

I bought the tent to save weight during a John Muir Trail hike. In general, the tent worked well. I got a lot of condensation with the flaps closed, so I slept with one flap open. It was straightforward to set up using my trekking pole. We didn't have extreme wind or rain when camping, but the tent was fine in moderate wind and light rain that we had. It did the job and was good value.

I use this tent on a one week backpacking trip into a wilderness area in Colorado. Experienced heavy rain and a little bit of hail. The tent held up well and did not leak from the outside. Like most tents, the biggest challenge was condensation on the inside of the tent. Easy set up and tear down. I loved the aspect that the only pole was my trekking pole. It’s certainly a one-person only tent. However, the vestibule made it easy to take off my boots and keep the inside clean. My biggest complaint about this tent is that it needs some more attachment points to pull the mosquito netting out. On both ends of the tent mosquito netting tended to droop onto my head. Not the end of the world – but a bit annoying. That said, the price: weight ratio is a good value.

I purchased this tent for a 200 mile hike on PCT. This is for the 1 man tent. It was lightweight, reviews were good and was 1/3 the cost of similar tents. The integrated rain fly has taken a bit of getting used to but I have been able to pitch it easily most anywhere. Granite can be a challenge but you can use rocks to help secure. The tent stakes were a bit light so I bought a heavier set, hook types are good for the 5 corner steaks and I used a heaver one to secure the hiking pole. Although we did not have heavy rain it did keep me dry during a light sprinkle and it dried out quickly the next morning. I am concerned that with a heavy rain, and wind- water may come in under the fly. Practice setting up- getting proper placement of steaks and tension is important. Watch some of the review videos to see some of the helpful tricks. Overall it performed well in this first trip. I was usually able to set it up in under 10 minutes. I did run across another hiker with the exact tent except it was made by a different company.

This is the first trekking pole tent I've ever had. It's taken a couple of practice runs to get used to putting it up, but I'm feeling much more comfortable with that. Due to the structure of the tent I was afraid that the netting would be too close to my face/feet, but it wasn't an issue for me. It rained all night my first night out, and it held up very well. It didn't collapse even though I went in and out several times, and it stayed super dry inside. The rain fly covering the vestibule was damp, but the vestibule area itself remained dry. It is quick to take down and repack. The bump out inside opposite the door is large enough to put my pack even with a 25 in wide sleeping pad, and it didn't get damp in all of that rain. I purchased the combo that included the footprint, and I'm glad I did.

Tried this tent out on a 3-night trip May into June. The setup is very easy and you can't beat the price at the weight. I just switched back to tent backpacking and wanted to be under 2 pounds shelter wise because that's where I'm at with my hammock. We got between 3 to 4 inches of rain on the first night and not a drop got in. I know there are more expensive, overall most likely better options out there but I am absolutely satisfied!
