Good backup ligature!
It is a good replacement for my original ligature, which is broken. It is a more soft and the reed is easy to attached.

Does not fit tenor mouthpiece
This does not fit a tenor mouthpiece (and I did order the tenor version). It is too small.

One problem.
I really like this product although, it's tough to place on my tenor sax when I'm trying to play. I may have to break it in so I could slide the ligature in. But overall, I love this.

May Have A Place In One's Accessory Bag
Been playing saxophone for 60 years. Purchased this Rovner copy Jiayouy tenor sax dark type ligature as I'm always interested in how budget accessories perform. I just like to check out "new" stuff. Initially, I thought "oops!" the dang thing is too small for all of my plastic & hard rubber mouthpieces. However, what I had believed was an undersized lig began to stretch as I forced it onto whatever mpc I was utilizing. I then discovered that the more I tightened the single mounting screw, the more the ligature stretched. So, it eventually achieved a diameter large enough to accommodate each of my mouthpieces: Vandoren Java T75, Rico Metalite M7, Yamaha 5C & an inexpensive Giardinelli. Who would have known!? The tone & brilliance to me falls somewhere between my Rovner light and dark ligs. This mpc performs satisfactorily in all registers & it will certainly hold its own for student players up to the pro level, depending upon expectations. My biggest frustration with this mouthpiece is that it takes a lot of thumb & forefinger strength to really tighten the ligature down and the amount of turning/threading necessary to tighten (once it gets stretched) significantly exceeds the amount of turning required for my Rovner ligs. But once it's on, it's not going anywhere. Recommend this product as a backup investment, or for a student level player who is looking for an adequate economical alternative.
