The lid itself has a rubber gasket but the spout does not. However, it closes tightly and will not leak. I have three bottles that we have used every day since August and none have leaked even one time.

Whts the diameter of this bottle?

Love this bottle!

This is a great quality water bottle that I would recommend. It has a nicely sized mouth piece, a bit bigger than a store-bought plastic bottle of water. The whole thing is also easy to wash. Would recommend!
