A friend of mine from Toronto recommended these to me. Even though he quit touring in 2015 after over 40 years he says he still uses these strings when messing around in his home studio.

I recommend the 110s instead of the 105s
Install them correctly the first tine, or you will have a very high risk of breaking them, mainly the D and G strings. They have incredible tone and sound, especially on an alembic series bass. I recommend the 110s instead of the 105s.

Beautiful Sounding Strings! Unique Sound! Growly mid-range, Well Defined low-end!!!
I love these strings. I have used them for a few years after I heard them on a friends bass. He is well-respected bass player in Nashville and these strings have shown up on several albums he's played on. They have a unique sound. I typically don't like the sound of brand new strings. They're too bright and have too much string noise. When I put a new a new set of these strings on they're still bright, but in a clean crisp way without being scratchy. They have a mid-range growl that I absolutely love. I use them on my 4-string Fender Jazz bass and most recently I bought a set for my 6-string Pedulla Thunder bass. The low end is huge without being muddy. It is clean and well defined. I would highly recommend giving these strings a try.

Amazing
These sound like Heaven. True piano style tone that rings like a bell. Heavy gauge sounds amazing tuned to E, and handles drop tunings without loss of sustain, whether fingered or picked.

Hold your group togetherβ¦.
Rotosound strings have been my favorites for the past fifty years. I chose the heavier gauge this time to get a deeper, fuller low end. I am very pleased.

A Bright clear tone that helps you cut through the sonic clutter.
I've used Rotosound Bass Strings since the 1970s. I started using them initially because all my heroes used them. Over the years I've always preferred them due to the bright tone and unsurpassed sustain. I've played on most the major brands and I always find myself comparing their pros and cons against the Rotosound, for my money they set the standard. This said, Good Sound is in the ear of the beholder, so if you don't like a bright clear ringing tone you might want to try elsewhere.

Deep Tones
The strings are excellent quality and provide nice rich deep bass tones. Because they are heavy guage they feel a little bit clunky until you get used to them. doesn't take long. :)
