Can this be used to mount a dslr instead of a monitor l?

Theoretically it could although I would advise you didn’t as it would not be stable as the weight of a DSLR would put an excessive strain on both. Can I suggest a suitable ball head would be better ?

I can't loosen the cold shoe adapter ring. it's so tight, the allen key doesn't fit in there, and all my other allen keys can't bite at all. help

Doesn’t it have holes so you can use the Allen key like turning a capstan ? You could use a large wrench gently to turn it but if it was like this when u received it, then return it.

Is this product compatible with the small rig black mamba cage for the lumix gh6 without any other adaptors?

Very possibly. First, look under your black mamba, if it has a small threaded hole (check it's the same size) , if it does this will screw into it. Second, you will need a cold shoe mount somewhere on the camera. It usually goes where the flash would normally go. If both of those criteria are met you are in business.
