When I was reviewing the item before buying, I was skeptic about the material as it is polyester, however, once I got the item its a very well made polyester, soft, nice and non itching, and it looks elegant, only the belt is big on me, but its easy to fix it

We needed costumes for a friend's 50th birthday toga party extravaganza, and this was perfect. The tunic and the drape are pretty sturdy. The sequins on the tunic are a tad bit cheap looking, but it's a costume!! Agree with those that complained about the belt. It's really big. I ended up safety-pinning my husband into it, and with the tunic and the drape, you couldn't tell. We saw 4 or 5 other men at the party wearing the same costume, and it looked good on everybody. It was a good choice.

Good quality as far as Halloween costumes go. It was the perfect length for me, but I'm 6'2", so it might be too long if you're around 5'10" or below. You could use the gold waistband to keep the tunic up.

This costume is pretty decent. The fabric is not see-through (unlike the female version ( California Costumes Women's Roman Empress Costume ) of this costume produced by the same company) and it looks pretty good.As another reviewer said, the crown does not match with the picture provided, and instead is a full band of leaves with no gap in it. Not a huge deal, but good to be aware of.A bigger issue, however, is the belt. I ordered this in the Standard size, and the toga itself is indeed a standard size. It's a little bit loose on my husband, but he doesn't mind that. The belt, on the other hand, seems to have been made for a Santa Clause costume. We could wrap it around his waist twice! Even if my husband was big enough to have this toga be a perfect/tight fit, the belt would be way too big. Since the velcro that holds it together does not reach far enough, we have had to buy some velcro strips and glue them to the belt so that it wouldn't fall off.If you don't mind altering the belt or using a different one, this costume is a great choice.

Before buying, I read a lot of comments. But after buying it, it is exactly what it shows in the image no difference. If you are thinking of buying, think no more it is worth the price.

Order this last minute for husband for a Greek/ toga theme anniversary of a friend. It fit him great! My husband is 6 ft tall and when I saw the review that a guy mentioned he was 6'4 and if fit him perfect I knew it will fit my husband well too. Wasn't too long. He looked good in it. Actually so good that the guest of honor had the exact same costume lol. So it is safe to assume that this costume is very popular and fits well on tall and big men. :) Delivery came on time as expected also.

Thanks to other reviewers posting that this item is quite long and wide. I am 6'4" and weigh 225 lbs. and it fit me perfectly. It fit me just like it fit the model in the picture, with the bottom of the tunic right in the middle between my ankles and where my calf muscle starts. However, if you are < 6 ft. tall, I believe that this item will be too long for you, as it will most likely be touching the ground.For the price, the quality and thickness of the material are much better than I expected. This costume can certainly be reused if you save the original packaging and replace each of the 4 items in the bags in which they shipped. The only item I will eventually replace is the laurel wreath that goes around my head. It is a bit cheesy and cheap, but it is better than nothing.

Cosmetically the costume looked like what was pictured but I do have issues with it. The belt was pretty much useless in keeping the red piece in place so for the entire night as I walked around downtown I had to adjust my costume so I would suggest this costume for a party or event where you don't have to do much traveling.
