Speck Products Presidio Grip LG G8 THINQ Case, Dolphin Grey/Aloe Green

I've had several Speck cases and are always happy with them.

I love these cases. They are super "grippy" in the hand and don't have a tendency to slip out of your hands. The buttons and ports are easily accessible and line up very nicely. Unfortunately my G8 turned out to be shot so i ended up getting a OnePlus 9 and they do not make cases for that phone. OH HOW I WISH because i was particularly fond of this case. I had dropped my G7 and G8 several times while having this case on and never once got a crack in the phone. I did add the tempered glass screen protector and everything kept my phone looking like brand new when i went to go trade it in for the OnePlus 9. Hope this review helps. The best case you can get for any phone is one that will keep you from dropping it in the first place. Given how incredibly slippery a G8 is, this is especially important for a case. Here are the multiple features of this case that I expect Speck incorporates into all its cases, so if you have a different phone I'd still recommend it:1) Case has very slightly raised rubber ribs along the side and back. These are visually tasteful and make this one of the grippiest cases I've ever held. And unlike cases that have a matte finish, the rubber ribs are embedded into the hard outer shell so they aren't a finish that will slowly rub off.2) Corners have slight rubber bumpers -- shock protection where you're likely to need it most.3) The case has a slight rib around the screen so the screen itself won't impact a flat surface4) The case is a combination of a hard shell with a rubberized interior -- good for shock and impact protection5) The camera, fingerprint reader, and ports are all easily accessible6) The rubber covers over the power, volume, and Android assist buttons all don't interfere with responsiveness, while effectively keeping out dirt and moistureI'm sure there will be people who will use this case and still manage to break their phones even if dropping it from a short distance -- phones are fragile and I imagine that any case that doesn't have 1/2 inch of soft foam will sometimes fail. But given the limitation that all cases work within, this one strikes me as the best I've seen. And the grippiness of this case is truly excellent -- holding the G8 is like holding a stick of melting butter, it needs a case more than any phone I've ever had.2)

Good value

I usually have a navy or black case on my phone during the colder months. But the phone would get too hot on my car mount with the sun on it. Tried mounting it somewhere where the sun don't shine. ;) But there was no place that made it useful. So I tried switching to a lighter color case. Bingo! Now it doesn't get as hot because it doesn't draw in the sun rays as much. YMMV!Also this case is easy to grip and is a little stiffer than my usual silicone cases. Cutouts are a perfect match for my phone.

I have been a Spigen fan for years. My favorite is the Neo Hybrid. Unfortunately, they don't make it for the LG G8. I found this Speck on an Amazon search and absolutely love it!The case is very well made. It consists of a semi-rigid plastic infused with rubber accents on the outside that give a great grip that is very comfortable. Seriously excellent design.The interior has rubber ridges on the sides that promise good impact resistance. The sides extend up above the screen about 3 mm so you can set the phone face down with no problems.Fit and finish are outstanding. All cutouts are perfect. Rubber button covers work well. The power cutout is a little oversized to accommodate the USB-C power plug with no drama. I don't have a wireless charger so can't speak to that.Since I keep my phone in my pocket, I was concerned that the rubber ridges would make it hard to remove but that hasn't been an issue. Another pleasant surprise was that the ridges don't seem to collect pocket lint.I tried a couple of options for this phone but none came close to the Speck. Highly recommended.

My only tiny miniscule nitpick of a complaint about this case is that the hole for the headphone jack is too small to accommodate my meaty HD6XX cable. Otherwise this case is excellent in every way. Did I mention that it's easy to hold, durable, and sturdy? Because it is. And both port holes are also perfectly adequate, I was jk. And the buttons are nice and responsive. Good case. Speck. I'll remember this name.

This case is sturdy but slim, great anti-slip surface, lovely color, much better than I expected at the price.

Looks like a solid case for protection but after less than 1 week of having it on my phone, the exterior layer is already peeling! Very disapointing!

Muy bueno para proteccion de la pantalla, pero no es de la calidad que esperaba; el tono verde aqua se desvanecio a un tono grisaseo a los 2 meses de uso, pero lo sigo usando por que cubre muy bien de daños mi telefono 🤗

Tenía este caso exacto cuando compré mi teléfono. Duró unos cinco años (¡mucho tiempo!)
