hi, it is made in China with high grade porcelain material, after 1250 ℃ to 1400 ℃ high temp fire and form, use one thousand years of Chinese pottery making craft.

Can the warming bowl be put in the microwave?

To the best of my knowledge, yes. I've never served hot Sake to an officiano in this set that it was not complimented (nor would the unhappy recipient be reinvited)!

How long is it recommended to heat up the carafe?

3 tea light candles will heat the sake in about 30 minutes but you could microwave on medium power for 10 seconds at a time

I bought this almost a year ago. I have only use there about three times. However on the third time, the warming mug cracked. Warranty?
