Basket with Hooks, Front, Removable, Wire mesh Small, Kids Bicycle Basket

I bought 2 of these and 3 of another color. I searched for a long time on Amazon, as well as other sites, to find affordable yet quality bike baskets. When I ordered these I wasn't sure what to expect. For the price I thought they would probably be on the cheaper side, but having to buy 5 I could not afford more expensive baskets. When they arrived I was pleasantly surprised at the feel. I think they will last well and be durable enough for my rowdy crew. They stay on well over the handle bar cushion and don't fall off while offroading, but they do fall off when the child lays their bike down so we may zip tie them on. The color choices could have been easier. They don't have the differant colors on the same link so you have to search and find the same basket, different color and they don't have much for color choices. So I got 2 of 1 color and 3 of another where I would have preferred more choices and on the same page.

These baskets are amazing. Each of our 4 children received bikes for Christmas and we thought these would be the perfect touch to their new wheels. They were! We were visiting my mother on the farm at the time and she sent the kids to collect the eggs, so they decided to take their bikes and baskets to retrieve the several dozens of eggs. Everything seemed to be going well as all 4 kids had about 3 dozens each of eggs until... the oldest leading the way didn’t see the enormous rock right in front of him and had a head on collision. As we know wherever there is not one child paying attention there are 3 more doing the same. One right after the other wam wam wam each slamming into the biked person ahead of them. Yolk and shells were flying everywhere, kids were crying and blaming one another and to this day I can’t get the stuck on goop out of the mesh in the baskets, making them almost capable of holding liquid. The worst part of it is that my mother couldn’t fulfill the entire order for her customer and has lost them as a purchaser. Christmas was much more costly than we initially anticipated especially with the ER visits.

It’s small but works perfectly

This arrived in a smashed up box and bent, damaged basket. Basket is bent, not sure if the damage is the reason the handle doesn’t move easily, but the handle will not stay in the “up” position, it’s very stiff in movement. Had to request an exchange to be sent out. My daughter was not able to use this for a bike ride today, as hoped. Other than that, it’s a cute basket- and good size for her 20” bike.*EDIT: The replacement arrived the next day, both packaging & basket in great condition. The handle is still a little stiff, but better. My daughter has a 20" beach cruiser, we had to bend the hooks a little to make it fit the handlebars, and drill a small hole so it will sit right against the "neck" (there is a bolt where the handlebars meet the pole thingie to the front tire) the small hole accommodated the bolt and made the basket sit right. All-in-all, it's cute, it works after some modification & my daughter likes it.

I started researching kids bike baskets the moment my niece told me that she would like one for her 5th birthday (1 week before her birthday, of course). This basket is by far the best quality, the best price, & the best looking kids bike basket that I have seen on any website or store shelf. It is the perfect size to hold a couple stuffed animals, a water bottle, a snack, and some flowers. Exactly what she wanted it for :) I ordered the pink for her, and the purple for her little sister. The colors are gorgeous! I went to a fabric store and bought fabric flowers to adhere to the baskets for added girliness. I selected 2 day shipping on a Saturday morning (because I could not take the chance of not having it in time for her birthday party) and it was delivered on Sunday afternoon. I can not say enough good things about this transaction! I am very happy with my last minute purchase! This was by far my best experience shopping on amazon, so I thought I'd write a review :)

This fit on my 5 year old's handlebars easily. We first tried taking off the foam & plastic piece that cover the horizontal bar, but the metal bar that was underneath was very thin, leaving the basket a little loose - seemed like it would rattle around. We put the foam and plastic back on and my husband very easily stretched the hooks to fit over them, just wide enough so that my daughter can take the basket off and on easily herself, but still have a snug fit. (No tools needed to bend the hooks, just pulled with his hands.) I think the way the hooks can be narrowed or widened will allow this basket to fit on a different bike in the future. Definitely worth spending a little more for this very sturdy basket, since the plastic one she had previously basically disintegrated after being left in the rain a few times. Just the right size for a doll or stuffed animal, which is exactly what she wanted it for.

Girls bike sized, nice for a water bottle, small towel, and book etc, NOT much more.About as strong as a tuna can under an elephants foot.Plus It mounts too close to handlebars, and you will have trouble mounting a light, or bell etc on handlebars.I had to UNROLL the 2 metal parts that wrap around the handlebars , and then recurl them with the basket set 1 inch lower for the lighting mounts to clear basket.If you need a stylish, very small, extremely weak and light duty basket, that isnt compatible with most bar mount lights or accessories ,...and you dont mind spending too much hard earned money.Then this is for you!!WAY overpriced, found better, slightly larger, sturdier ones at walmart from "Bell" for $18.
