Q: Is Obenauft's oil safe for couches

Leather Oil can be used on leather furniture as long as you don't mind the darkening effect. It will hydrate and keep the leather supple. Some considerations: test in a hidden sport first to see if you like the results; & several light coats are better than one thick coat when applying to avoid saturation. One coat is usually all that is needed but if it still seems dry, try another coat after giving the first coat a few hours to soak in. Buff with a clean cloth after final application to remove excess oil. Q: What's the difference between obenauf's leather oil vs their heavy duty lp (leather preserver)? i'm interested in a product for footwear.

Q: I have a new Black leather jacket , but dried for keep long time , then this product is going to get the texture like a new ?

I had a leather jacket that was 11 years old and had gotten pretty dried out. I had to put a bottle and a half of this stuff on it, but now the jacket is like new and I wear it every chance I get. We live in Colorado, so things drying out is a way of life here, but this stuff really did the trick. I also had an old pair of work boots down at the ranch and they were pretty dried up, but I got this stuff to restore them to working order. They don't look that great due to wear and tear, but they are soft again.

Q: Has anyone used this on sheepskin leather garments? The manufacturer says to use only lanolin products on it.

I wouldn't try it....if you elect to, use it in a discrete place.....I used it for leather and would purchase it again....good luck!!!
