Arrived on time and in fair to poor packaging. That said, I have been looking at these pool fountains for some time and knew I wanted more than 1 but not at $40 each. I found 2 available as "Open package/Missing parts" directly from Amazon warehouse for $14.99 each, so I purchased 2 for my pool. YES, they were missing parts and NOT in their original packaging but I was able to make 1 perfect unit out of the pieces and with duct tape, another working unit. OMG, they look great. Work perfect and lowered the pool temp 10 degrees. $80 worth of fountains for less than $30 buck's. Very satisfied. Being totally honest, it has transformed our pool area in that I have been sitting at our pool for 30 years and know the sights and sounds like the back of my hand, now sitting out there is like being on vacation somewhere else. The sound of the fountains, the cool spray wisping off the high arc of the water bar. AMAZING....

After spending weeks on a complete pool / patio / pool deck remodel and finishing it today, this fountain was my only surprise the family didn't know about and Amazon delivered it this morning. Boy, talk about a major flop. It has the ability to make every adjustment imaginable for the set up of the fountain. All the connection points seem to be so week and it will just flop around after set up. even the kids playing in the pool splashing around caused it to fall apart from the choppy waters. Surely the prototype was solid, but when taken to mass production assumably in China, all product integrity was lost. Gotta do better guys.

Before purchasing this fountain, I noticed several reviews complaining that it doesn’t fit, but I think many people missed a crucial step in the installation process. To install this fountain properly, you need to remove three parts from your pool’s return jet/eyeball fitting: first, the retainer ring; second, the eyeball itself; and finally, the eyeball “seat.” That last piece—the eyeball seat—can be stubborn. Mine took some effort, and I ended up using a metal “L” bracket from my garage, but you could also use a dedicated pool eyeball removal tool (about $5). Once the seat is out, the male threads on this fountain screw directly into your plumbing. For reference, my pool is an in-ground vinyl with Hayward plumbing, and the installation fit was spot on. The reason I gave this product 4 out of 5 stars instead of a perfect score: Even when all the fountain’s connections were tightened as much as possible, I could still pull part of the assembly apart. If I ran my pump at full pressure, the top of the fountain would blow off the stem, so it’s not quite “set it and forget it.” Otherwise, this fountain works great and adds a nice touch to the pool! Bottom Line: Make sure you fully remove the retainer ring, eyeball, and the (stubborn!) eyeball seat before installing this. With the right prep, installation is easy and fits well on Hayward plumbing—but be careful with high pump pressures

Little to short, wish pipe was longer.

I tried to install this, but my pool's return inlet is male. This has a male connection too. I'm currently looking for a solution. Also, my inlet's eyeball female fitting is a tad bit larger than this male connection. I tried to screw it on this fountain as a test; that was a fail. So basically, if I did fit my pool, I think this would work well seeing how well made it is. Since I was unable to install it, I can't rate it any higher. ***UPDATE*** My inlet has a 1.5 inch pressure fitting. When it was installed before me, the installers glued it in. Thats why i thought my inlet was male. Turns out I needed to unscrew the eyeball cover, remove the eyeball, then break the base or mount of the eyeball fitting out of my inlet. It came out in pieces and behold, my 1.5 inch inlet return. It's pressure fitted so there is no screwing or unscrewing anything from this point. I figured out how to get this to work with 1.5 inch returns inlet. Once your old fitting is removed, you will need an adapter(Hayward SP1022INS): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002EL3YF6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Its a perfect fit. Just push the adapter in the same way all pressure fitted returns are installed, then screw the fountain into the adapter.The fountain works great.

This is a good product. Easy to install with easy adjustments to make the fountain go higher or lower. We have a pool that has little shade, plus south Georgia weather, so this has also helped in maintaining a reasonable temperature and reducing it 1 or 2 degrees as well. My only other comment is to make sure you have the pipes installed correctly with the grommet's included, otherwise the pieces will blow off when the pump is started. I found that just inserting and pushing the pipe all the way in for connection, it causes the grommet to get misaligned and cocked to the side. It will not seat for sure if the case. My solution to that was to put the grommet on the pipe first and then push it into the connecting piece and it worked perfect thereafter.

We've had this fountain for four years and it's too much trouble keeping it in place. The slightest bump of any kind as well as the hose from our pool vacuum easily knocks it out of alignment. The spray arm also comes out often from the water pressure. We are looking for another fountain. Good concept but poorly designed. We do not recommend it.

This works great. Followed instructions and the joints were falling apart. These are a simple compression fitting. The trick is to slide pipe through the collar, then slide rubber sleeve over end of pipe, then insert into threaded pipe and hand tighten. Don’t use a wrench . Awesome feature. The sound is the best part. Drowns out neighbors without crankin the tunes!

98% sure I received someone else’s return. That being said, $50 for a couple pieces of plastic that are incredibly difficult to work with. The arm that inserts into main piece that connects to the return jet will not stay in place, we have had to rig it with tape to keep it from coming apart. Definitely spend a little more and get something else…

Box was a bit mangled and unit looked half assembled (appeared returned) although everything there. Work great, and kids love it. Easy to install. Abit of a design flaw, the rotation coupler also tightens the water release swivel pipe. A little paranoid kids grabbing onto it and breaking plastic inlet to pool.
