It fit easily into the headphone port of the phone and I heard the nice satisfying click when I connected the headset to the adapter. Everything is nice and snug so there's no worry of it disconnecting if I'm moving around my work station. The length of the coil itself at rest is about 16" (not counting the straight ends). I've only had to use it once so far for a conference call and I noticed a slight background interference (a quiet humming) so I'm not sure if that's the cable or the conference call line itself. I have another once coming up next week (though it's with the same people) so I'll see if it happens again during that call. All in all it was exactly what I needed at a decent price. Did not work. Tried it with 2 sets of earphones. Had to buy another pair from another company, which worked fine with both sets of earphones.
