I was very skeptical about buying this jacket. I have reached the age where I care about protection if I fall or worse.....so I bought this and I am pleasantly surprised! It's good fitting, comfortable jacket. I think it actually looks better in person too. It has quite a few pockets. As for protection, it is what it is.....an inexpensive jacket. It has some foamy armor padding on the shoulders and elbows and back. Not bad, but not comparable to a top level jacket. I don't ride crazy, and I mostly ride my scooter so this is good enough for me. Another thing.....it is heavy. If you are used to wearing a t shirt only, you will notice how heavy this jacket is on your first long ride. It's really pretty solid material. I honestly can't believe you can get a jacket this good for this price. BTW....I have not been in rain with it so I put five stars but I have no idea how it does. It does help you keep warm in colder weather.....50 degree weather I am good. It does seem to be able to get some air in it to breathe. I think it would be miserable in 90+ temperatures. Overall I am impressed with it. Good purchase!

Before I bought this, I took the MSF course and crashed on the last test. Fell on my right side and skidded on my shoulder. A week later, on my retake, I wore this jacket. I didn't crash this time, but it started raining. I was the only person not miserable. The fit is a little big but it has adjustment straps. I think the armor inside could be better, and I'll upgrade soon enough. I've taken it on many rides since getting my license, and it's been perfect. Without and with the liner as the temperature dropped, it has blocked wind, bugs, and cold perfectly except for the neck strap. I feel that across my neck a bit too much some times. It's hard to adjust that out. Anything at the bike shop is 3 times more expensive and only slightly better in design. Will I upgrade to one of those... Yes. Will it be soon? Probably not. I would maybe buy a size smaller because I'm a large tee shirt kind of guy and I'm almost swimming in this one, if not for the straps and velcro. I've gotten compliments on the style! I'm getting their riding pants next. Excellent material! Comes in other styles if this is too loud.

This jacket is excellent quality and the perfect addition to my riding gear. It has air vents that can been zipped open for extra ventilation and a zip out liner as well, all to keep me cool on hot days. Zip vents closed and zip liner in on cooler ride days. Waterproof on rainy day and light weight to weigh you down. Reflective colors to be seen at night. Protective padding in all the right places just in case of a fall. Definitely a GREAT addition to my riding gear!!

I was slightly hesitant about purchasing this jacket, given the low price compared to the local motorcycle accessory shops nearby. I went in knowing that the armor is unlikely to be CE "certified" since there's no mention of the actual level anywhere - but I also know that I can easily swap out the armor in this jacket with other armor if so desired. The jacket is actually very nice, and well worth the money. The the liner inside keeps you nice and warm, and can easily be unzipped and removed - making this ideal in both warm and cold weather. There are several pockets, inside and out, and multiple locations where you can tighten it up around your wrists, arms, and waist to keep the air from causing it to "balloon" at high speeds. I have not worn it in the rain so can't speak to its water resistance. Overall, very happy with this jacket.

This as "middle as it gets" as it can be This is a good jacket, don't get me wrong. But I would have hoped with something with a removable liner, it would be a little more summer friendly. This thing is hot, granted we are in a heat wave right now. But it let's very little air flow through. I think it's too "in the middle" too light to be a winter jacket, and too heavy to be a summer jacket. I haven't tried it in winter yet. But just my early thoughts. It looks very good though, fits well, and the reflective on the jacket increases visibility. The shoulder pads are a little "off" they sit in a weird position and give slight discomfort when rotating your arm. But not enough to take it off. For the price point this is what you would expect.

I purchased this and a HWK design for comparison. They are basically the same and this one is less expensive. The significant differences are that thos one jas less pockets and the air vents are covered by a flap instead of a water resistant zipper. I found the XL to be tight in the shoulders and around the front of the neck, so will be ordering the XXL. I measured right at the top of the stated range for this size. But I am tall so sometimes sizing charts don't work right. Unfortunately it means that to get the shoulders larger, the torso will be huge on me. The liner I find almost silly because there is virtually no insulation in it. I don't see why they wouldn't have used a thicker material. It will make it slightly warmer though. The pads in this one were less distorted by being folded in the packaging than the HWK, but that is probably more luck than anything. They really should remove the pads for storage and shipping so that they don't get smashed into odd shapes. They should relax over time and return to normal though. Overall the build quality is good for this price. Certainly there are better, but they also cost significantly more.
