Works! but dulls fast
5 Stars for price and quality!! Here's a picture of the first sheep I ever sheered with Beetro Shears. 4 Stars on "Sheerness" because the blades dull and gum up rather quickly. BUT they cleaned and sharpened up very easily by taking off the blade from the "chicken feet" and running a file along the vertical, scissor like top blade on each side. I did not file the flat blade-to-blade part because I think that would misalign and ruin it. Also they do heat up fast so I would just touch the smooth bottom of the blades to my skin and when they would burn, I stood the sheep up and waited for the the shears to cool. Slower that way, but for my farm slower is better than paying thousands for professional shears! I sheared 4 Shetland Sheep! On the second sheep the blade was dull (and so was I to not figure that out) so the job was worse. Then I switched blades and the third sheep went very well. Then on my fourth sheep I decided to try filing the blade and it worked well!

Worked better than expected!
Sheared 4 sheep with thick wool in one go. Took short breaks and oiled in between, overall was very impressed with how well these cut through the wool. Didn’t get too hot and stayed sharp

Better than Expected - Sheered w/o issue.
Due to professional sheep shearers not being as professional as I would like I decided to give it a try myself as I have done every other animal we have. I read all the reviews before purchase and was wary my first time to watch for heat and blade issues. . . . . . . .None of those things happened. I oiled the blades well plus the top hole, let it run for a min or two to let the oil coat everything well. During shearing I wiped and brushed blades clean and re dotted with oil. Ran for 2 hours and never had any issues with the blades being hot, ventilation, overheating, or the blades going dull. Blades got dirty, no question, but not dull. It cut through our thickest wooled sheep who was late to be sheared and got through some very dense wool. Had almost no issues with cutting the skin of the animal (except when someone tried to help and pulled on the wool). Even did very nice on the face where the sheep would shut their eyes and I trimmed right around them. Cons or things to know - Needs good power source - tripped the dedicated circuit breaker for outdoors the first time I turned it on. Con/Pro? - Doesn't get as close to the skin as a more expensive shearing device would as a professional trimmer does. We joked our sheep would be sunburnt when a pro did it and this leaves a nice short level of fluff where you just can't see the skin and would need to go over with a clippers if you want a skin close trim. We like this where are sheep aren't sunburnt for a week following sheering.

Good tool
Was very pleased with them. They did a great job and didn’t over heat.

Overheats
Overheated pretty quick and blades became dull fast also, easy to return though so I’m thankful for that!

Amazing - clips my alpacas fabulously!
I bought these last year after a well known alpaca shearing group left 2 of my alpacas's undersheared - they indicated their coats were oily "alpacas don't have lanolin" after they left as they were shearing in the dark I ordered these as the shearing job was a hack piece - I was able to finish trimming them then put them up in case I ever needed them. Well this year the cost of shearing has gone up again and I cannot afford it so decided to try to shear on my own after spending 7 years having someone professionally shear them. I do not sell or process the fleece so it just needs to be off the animal. I tied my largest alpaca Puck and did a standing shear on him - after 10 mins he's about 3/4 done - I'd rather go slow and spray the blades frequently than go fast and cause harm. I'm ordering a second set of blades so I can ensure all my 5 alpacas are clipped well. I don't know why this is listed as a frequently returned item it worked great for me and I am very particular about products I use on my animals. A++++++

Makes Doodle Grooming A Breeze
Purchased these after being completely disappointed in a, Middle of the Road, pair of dog grooming clippers. These make grooming a golden doodle very easy and very quick. Oiling the blades every 5-10 min of continual use was necessary as it began to build too much friction that was noticable to the ear as the blade surfaces heated and dried. Still will need a pair of scissors or small clippers to trim around sensitive areas. These clippers are sharp and heavy duty if care is not taken it would easily cut the skin. If you own a dog that doesn't shed and requires grooming buy these now you will wonder why you haven't already made this purchase!

Very usefull and powerful tool
I’ve been using the BEETRO 500W Electric Professional Sheep Shear, and overall I’m really happy with it. It’s definitely a heavy-duty clipper, and you can feel that right away. As a dog groomer, I’m used to much smaller, lighter clippers, so this was a big adjustment for me at first. It is quite heavy, but that also shows in how powerful it is. For shearing my sheep, it does an amazing job. It cuts smoothly and efficiently without struggling but be careful it cuts easily and for my first shearing I was lucky not to injure my sheep. It has 6 speed settings, but honestly, I’ve only been using speeds 1–2 so far and that’s been more than enough. Higher speeds feel a bit intimidating for me right now, but even on low, it gets the job done really well. One thing I really appreciate is the long cord it makes a huge difference because I can move around easily without needing an extension cord all the time. For me, shearing works best as a two-person job. My husband holds the sheep while I shear, which keeps the animal calmer and safer. In fact, midway through, our sheep actually relaxed and stopped moving, which made the process much easier. I would definitely recommend this clipper, especially for homesteaders who don’t want to pay high prices for professional shearing services. It’s also very easy to operate and clean. Since sheep wool contains a lot of lanolin, the blades get quite greasy, but I was pleasantly surprised at how simple it was to clean everything afterward. Overall, it’s a powerful, practical tool that does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

Worked very well for my hobby farm pygoras
I only have 2 pygora wethers but these shears worked very well! I used them at speed 3 for both goats and they slid easily thru even the matted fleece. I’d never used shears before but have clipped horses and cattle many times. I did both goats on the same day, one after another and the shears were cool enough for both. I stopped and lubed the blades when I heard their noise change. My technique and lack of skill & experience are the only things holding me back from a professional looking job, the shears are fantastic! They are a heavy machine but I’m a middle aged woman with weak painful hands and wrists and I managed just fine. Overall they suit me perfectly and I managed to not have to spend nearly $1k to shear 2 goats a couple times a year!

L'arnarque....

Says can’t be used on dogs but it can on very woolly dense breeds
Worked great on a matted elderly Tibetan Mastiff. Very loud but does the job efficiently.
