- The STX Dehydra Model 1200W-XLS is an Extra Large Stainless Steel Commercial Grade Food & Jerky Dehydrator with Ten 100% Stainless Steel Drying Racks that Measure Approximately 14.5" Wide x 16" Deep each. The Square Holes in the 10 Stainless Steel Drying Racks are 3/8" x 3/8" which accommodates almost any Fruit, Vegetable or Jerky that you wish to Dehydrate. Also Included are 2 Heat Resistant Food Grade Silicone Mats for Making Fruit Leathers, Dehydrated Eggs, or Any other Runny Foods You can Think of!
- This Dehydrator also Features 1200 Watts of Dehydrating/Heating Power with 7 Preset Heat Temperatures that Range from 97 °F to 165 °F (36 °C to 74 °C). This unit is, what is commonly referred to, as a Horizontal Air-Flow Food Dehydrator as it is powered by a Rear Mounted Motor with a 7 Inch Fan Blade that Blows the Hot Air Forward towards all of the food you are drying on the racks. **Q: is it 100% BPA free? Is it ANY TOXIC MATERIALS FREE?**
A: BPA is found in polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins and this dehydrator is essentially made out of 100% Stainless Steel excluding the motor and a few Regualar Steel parts in the back fan part of the unit.This unit is also ETL Approved which has just as stong of a testing lab as UL, so if it had any type of Toxic Materials in it, it would not have passed the test.Regards,SashaCustomer Service TechThe Mercantile Station

**Q: The description describes 1/4 inch square stainless steel drying trays. However the picture shows a mesh-like drying tray. Which is it? and is it ss?**
A: Thank you for reaching out and asking about our STX International 1200W Dehydra Food Dehydrator!  The holes in the trays used to be 7/8 inch, but customers continued to request smaller holes. We currently have trays that have 1/4" holes with our product (this is also what is pictured that looks more like mesh). We have had a good response from customers saying that they appreciate the smaller holes.
