The quality of this chuck blow me away for the price. You cannot go wrong with this chuck. Be aware that the fit is extremely close tolerance when installing it on a mill, at first I thought it was just a bit large on the R8 mandrel, no it is just that close fit. I LOVE THIS CHUCK!!!!

Don't buy this here. These 1/2" PM drill chucks actually retail for about $69.00 and that's exactly why you don't see "verified purchase" next to my review. Other than that, the one I bought from machine tool online is exactly the same and is a very nice tool holder for my PM-727M. It's not just this tool. I've seen price gouging on almost all the machine tools listed on Amazon. I'm not sure why, but they've even been gouging folks on the cheap Chinese knockoffs too. It's made shopping for machine tools very frustrating. Unless you have to use an Amazon gift card, I'd advise everyone to go to the manufacturer's or licensed dealer's websites.

Incredible chuck for the money. Almost no measurable runout which is pretty amazing for a drill chuck. Quality through and through. I love Precision Matthews and will be buying one of their mills as well.
