**Q: do both headphone outputs get the same mix?**
A: Dear Customer, yes, the output is all the same.

**Q: can you control the volume of each headphone output independently?**
A: No, one and two headphone outputs are linked together via the large volume knob

**Q: Can I plug my electric bass directly in to this and use it as a headphone amplifier?**
A: Whoever made the 2nd answer also has no experience with the device, almost identical is not this specific device. I pluged in my bass and only got a mono signal when I used my regular guitar cable. Luckily I had a cable that has the regular 1/4 inch jack (TRS) at one end and a male XLR (circular with 3 prongs inside) on the other end, I then got a stereo sound. The only switch on the device is the on/off switch....so the switching they talk about in the description is switching the cable that you use.
