Nice printer
Easy to install, works good. Quality of prints are a little subpar, but ease of cartridge replacement makes up for that!

This company has terrible customer service and serious flaws in their printer design
I have never posted a seriously negative review of a product in the past as I try to work with the manufacture to fix their product problems and keep the customer happy. However, after prolonged attempts at resolution with this products issue I have to post something to show my frustration. The company has horrible customer service and does not support its flawed product, so I need to warn other potential customers to avoid my expensive mistake and seek a different manufacturer to purchase your printer and your ink. I bought this printer in December of 2021. It initially worked fine. I left on a vacation in July and returned in August to a long list of items to complete with close deadlines. Many required me to use my printer. Unfortunately, when I turned on my computer, I chose to update the software for the computer and for the printer (automatic requests that I clicked yes on – bad mistake). Once the printer software was updated it rejected the ink in my printer (which has worked previously and was Espon brand). Given very tight deadlines I called all over town and found some new Epson ink 20 miles away. I bought it and returned. The printer rejected the new yellow ink. I called customer service asking for help rolling back my printer software so I could finish my job and was dismissed. Now with a few hours deadline, I had to go buy a NEW printer and new ink (clearly NOT Epson brand), return, install and print. The deadline met, I recontacted Epson and asked them to take my printer back or replace the software as it was useless. I could not even print with black only ink when it rejected the yellow cartridge. They simply ignored me but asked for receipts, etc. to prove I bought new Epson Ink. That required more of my time to scan (with my new printer mind you), fill out forms, and submit. Weeks later they sent me a single new yellow ink cartridge. By then I was traveling again. I returned a month later, the ink was in my mail. I installed it – It does not work so now 6 weeks after the original problem I still cannot use my printer. I suspect to get any help I will need to go through all the same paperwork and hassle and will have no resolution of the software issue, which is the real problem, not the ink. Bottom line – this is a deeply flawed device with very touchy software glitches. The company is so paranoid to protect their ink business that they had made their device(s) unusable. I now see they were sued and they settled that lawsuit a few years ago. What they have not done is fix the problem nor do they want to help customers who have problems. I strongly recommend you not buy this device and seek a different manufacturer (probably none of their devices after reading the lawsuit information and noting they have not agreed to resolve the problem).

First Rate Office Printer.
This is the second Epson product that we have owned. The previous model was still working after 8 years of dependable service when we replaced it. We tried to move up to an Eco Tank model that we purchased locally. The unit would not connect to our wireless network, so we returned it to the store and purchased this model from Amazon. The overall quality of the output is just as good or even a little better than our old model. This unit is quite a bit faster that our old unit. The unit was also reduced by 34%, making an excellent buy. The jury is still out if it will be good in the ink usage department. Our old unit seemed to need a new cartridge every other week, I would purchased this model again,

Excellent product for my home office use.
I purchased this to replace my older model one that stopped working due to my mistake. This one was a very nice upgrade, as it has two paper trays, can use paper much larger paper if needed, can print/copy two sided which was a very important factor affecting my decision to purchase this model, and I can print using blue tooth from my computer or my phone and from the phone is another important factor affecting my decision to purchase. It was extremely easy to set up. I went to Epson's website to download the latest software to my laptop computer and to print to .pdf the manual and instruction booklet. It prints, copies and scans fast for my home office use. Things can be printed in the faster draft mode or in a better quality print which is a little slower, but not too much slower. Draft uses less ink. The ink cartridges are less expensive then the ones for my older workforce. I recommend this model for personal and home office use.

Great work-horse printer for the home office
My previous Epson Workforce Pro WP-4530 sadly died haemorrhaging ink after six years excellent service and thousands of pages both black and white and in colour, so I took a look at equivalent printers which were available from all manufacturers on Amazon that could be shipped to South Korea. Despite its somewhat higher price, I decided on the WF-4830, and so far I am delighted. Although the vast majority of the reviews on Amazon were very positive, I was a little put off by some of the fairly negative reviews, but I have to say set-up was straightforward “out of the box” (eventually -- see below), and linking the printer into my Wi-Fi was no problem at all so that wireless printing from my computer and also from my Android smartphone works well. The print quality is first class. The touchscreen is helpful, clear, intuitive, and easily seen thanks to the swivelling panel in which the screen is mounted. There was one fairly major setback, which was that the printer I received was a domestic US/Canada model and therefore only designed for 100/120 VAC. Before ordering, I checked online and was informed that the printer was definitely a multi-voltage model. Fortunately, having been once-bitten and therefore twice-shy, I checked the specifications on the back of the printer before plugging it in and found it was NOT suited to the 240 VAC in South Korea. It simply meant that I had to order a suitable step-down transformer which delayed my use of the printer by only two days (hence the “eventually” seen above). The Amazon Chat person was very helpful and pointed me in the right direction to email the seller who was apologetic, but otherwise not very helpful. I hasten to add that the seller was not Amazon, but I would have imagined that any supplier sending a high end electronic-based device to a specific country would have checked that the model was appropriate for the mains supply in that country. Caveat emptor! Despite that glitch, it’s a great printer, perhaps a little thirsty on ink, but the overall quality is excellent.

Love & Hate at the same time
I installed, connected to the internet, everything was smooth and the 1st day I printed doc, scanned, sent air etc etc etc, and it was working absolutely great. Next day started asking to perform updates, then it was disconnected to the air computer, I couldn't scan, I connected a cable directly and it didn't work either, becae a nightmare and as last resource, I had to scan through a usb device and then connect to the computer back and forth. Then next days, it was always for updates, downloading more date on my computer as well update the printer, it is like they are spying everything you do with a printer, I just want to use it to print/scan/copy documents or any other info, if it is working just find the 1st day, why these companies begin with harassing the buyer with all these daily updates or connecting hundreds of things to make it work. It was much easier in the past, you just install the program of the printer with a CD and that was it! I had one of those printers before this one and it worked for 12 consecutive years with NO PROBLEMS whatsoever. And the last problem is that IS NOT WORKING AT ALL, I had to stored the printer computer and all my office equipment for 6 months and I plugged in everything and the printer asked for new cartridges, I took them out and they are still full of ink, my fingers completely colored & stained are witnesses & now it says use Epson Support code error 031006 ?!?!?!?!?! There is not a web/ph/any kind of information where do I need to go, I barely use the printer at all, it still has some of the protection plastic and it is already damaged. What a pain. Seriously they should at least add who or where we can ask for help. Now AGAIN buying a new printer because for sure EPSON IS NOT GOING TO HELP ME :((((

Improved WorkForce printer, but significant hardware/software/firmware issues remain.
This is the second Epson WorkForce all-in-one printer/scanner that I have owned. This review is written after more than one year of using this one. Several things have been improved with this machine over the earlier generation device that I previously owned. The Wi-Fi network connection is much more stable than experienced with the previous model. The print heads almost never need to be cleaned other than when changing cartridges. Having said that comment there are still a number of hardware and software issues with this printer that really should be addressed by Epson. For context, I use a MacBook Pro with the latest MacOS installed, printer firmware updates installed, and the current version of the Microsoft Office 365 suite. I use the device to scan JPEG and PDFs and to print all kinds of documents, including on cardstock of various sizes. HARDWARE ISSUES • Very light purple hazy streaks appear on images scanned using the flat bed. This doses not happen with the document feeder and was not an issue when the printer was new. The scanner glass has been thoroughly cleaned but the haze still appears. • A paper setting of "Card Stock" is only available for the main tray, which causes the problems described below. • The main tray should be large enough to hold at least half a ream of paper. It holds less than half of that. • It would be nice for the document feeder to accept 4x6 photographs. As it is, they are a fraction of an inch too small. SOFTWARE/FIRMWARE ISSUES • After scanning, if you donʻt quite the scanning software, it will wake the printer over, and over, and over, into the dead of night. It is very disconcerting to be awakened in the middle of the night by the sounds of shuffling, clicking, etc. in an adjacent room. • When an image has been scanned and a selection box is drawn around it, the little dots used to resize or rotate the selection are much too small to be "hit" reliably. At least 50% of the time when I attempt to click and drag one of the tiny dots, I will miss by a fraction of a millimeter and drag the entire selection box instead. Then, I have to reposition the selection box and try, try again (and again...). • Rotation of a scanned image by clicking and dragging is too jerky. There isn't enough fine control. You can enter a new numerical value for the rotation angle in the dialog box, but it is much too tedious to get the angle exactly right. A much better way would be to rotate the selection by tapping arrow keys, each tap corresponding to the smallest rotational increment. • I frequently print on card stock of various sizes. Because the printer setting for the alternate tray cannot be set to "card stock", I keep card stock in the main tray and have plain paper in the alternate tray. The MS Word printer dialogue box does not provide a media setting of "card stock” at all. For that reason, I must use the Word Media & Quality Feed From option of “main tray” in order to print on the card stock. This causes the following problems, which may be the fault of Epson or Microsoft Word. Either way these problems need to be fixed. • I often change the card stock size in the main tray. I adjust the printer settings to reflect the new size, but when I print, often the printer will tell me that I have the wrong media in the main tray even thought the paper dimensions are exactly the same in Word and on the printer. The printer display will show the dimensions of the card stock in the main tray and the dimensions of the incoming document and they will be exactly the same. I then have to tap the screen a few times to confirm the paper selection to get it to print. Sometimes that doesn't work and I have to open the main tray and close it again before the printer will recognize that was I told it the first time was right. • In the Word print dialog box, there is a major issue with the Media & Quality Feed From setting of “Auto Select”. Basically, I have to check that setting every time that I print on card stock because it defaults to “Auto Select” almost every time a new print job starts, regardless of the Preset. Because the MS Word print dialog box does not include a media setting of "card stock", I guess that the Feed From setting of “Auto Select" defaults to the plain paper in the alternate tray. In other words, I am constantly printing on plain paper instead of card stock if I don't very carefully check that one setting every single time I print. • When using a Print Job Preset that includes a Feed From setting of “Main Tray”, it still defaults to “Auto Select” every time. • When using a Custom Print preset with a Feed From setting of “Main Tray”, it works the first time that preset is selected and then defaults to “Auto Select” after that. • Using the Preset of “Last Used Setting” will retain the “Main Tray” paper feed for one print job. After that, the Feed From setting defaults to “Auto Select”. • The printer display will announce that a firmware update is available from the Settings menu. Then you have to dig through (I think) about four layers of the confusing settings menu to find the fairly obscure location of the update button. The firmware announcement should include a button that initiates the update without navigating the setting menu. At a minimum, the firmware announcement should include the path through the settings menu to find the update button. • Too many windows open during scanning. In a previous version of the software, only one window would open when scanning. Now the Print Center window opens, the Image Capture window opens, and then a window for listing the documents scanned opens. Stop it with all of the extra windows! • Sometimes it will print double-sided when the Word dialog box selector has the 2-sided printing option turned off. This happens randomly, but I have witnesses! • The touchscreen menu could be better organized and easier to navigate.

Love this All in One!
I researched for the lowest priced All in One with wireless feature that does duplex printing. Of course, initial wireless setup is tricky, but once I managed to set it up, it has never given me any problems. Scans are great. Printing regular items (not brochures or posters) are fine for me. The duplex printing feature is a key point. If you don't believe me. Print out 20 pages and manually keep track while you manually flip them over to print on the other side. The time this device saves is priceless. I have both letter and legal sized papers in their trays ready to print. I did finally run out of ink. I found some generic ones here on Amazon and they worked perfectly at a greatly reduced cost. I've had this device for a couple of years now. I would highly recommend this device.

110v power rating from Amazon us. Store. Killed it the moment I plugged this printer into a 240v power outlet.
