To the correct torque for your vehicle. I have been using it for years with no problems. And helps to keep rim and hub from corrosion and fusing together. **Q: can i use this when replacing my brake pads?** A: Yes, this is an option to apply to the brake pad backing to keep from galling to the piston cylinder, also retainers and contact areas where the pad slides in the caliper. Silicone grease is not a good option because it does not tolerate (and burns) >450F. High performance driving will push the brake pads past 800F. **Q: After apply this, would it require more torque to secure nuts in place?
