These elegant square planters have authentic concrete finish with visible pores make them beautiful contemporary pieces. The look and feel is true concrete but it weights substantially less than it looks. It also has very smooth finish instead of rough concrete potters you might be used to. The size is very generous and can hold a good amount of plants without looking crowded. It does have a more modern feel to it being straight lines and concrete. Would look great on apartment balcony or large backyard patio. In modern design, less is more. These square planters can be used symmetrically with trailing plants or in a variety of beautiful landscape designs. Made of lightweight concrete through an manufacturing process. This composite material has no ruber, plastic, and steel. This material has all the advantages of concrete such as strength, durability, weather and damage resistance. Materials involve cement and weather-resistant fiberglass. This material has strong UV resistant ability and stay well in wind, rain, hot and cold season. By adding fiberclay material, planter is much easier to move around due to its lighter weight.

They are sturdy, heavy (we live in an extremely windy location so this is priority for us), have the modern look we are going for, and I appreciate the drainage holes at the bottom. After reading all the other reviews of them arriving broken, I was apprehensive to order them online, but they're not available in store anymore and the price was right, so we ordered two sets of three planters and hoped for the best, but mentally prepared for them to arrive broken and I’m the hassle of having to return them. I was pleasantly surprised! They were extremely well packaged by the manufacturer and in perfect shape despite our delivery person having a hard time with their weight, navigating learning to use a dolly, the icy conditions, and having them slide off the dolly several times before we could get outside to assist her. Really impressed by the packaging. The product is great too. Just because of the material, it can chip, but these are outdoor planters - they’re going to be exposed to the elements and get chips here and there. Noting a charcoal colored paint pen can’t remedy. Overall, a great buy if this is the style you’re going for!
