Bridge Baron 26 (PC/MAC)

Great interface. I'm a bronze Life Master with regional Flight A wins. I have the ability to have achieved higher rank, but I hate the regimentation, increasingly nit-picky rules, forced playing structure, hurried pace, catering to professional players, and grotesque expense of competing in ACBL tournaments and even local club games to some extent. I quit playing in that zoo years ago. I'm RETIRED. Bridge is a HOBBY. I want it to be FUN. CONVENIENT. CHEAP. With Bridge Baron, I can play how, when, where, and how long I want. Some of the other bridge software may be slightly more skilled, but this is the one I use by far the most.

The bridge baron 27 did not go into my desk Mac. I returned it. I first deleted my Bridge Baron 26, which I loved. I want it again, but I'm not sure it will go into my computer. Please let me know if I can try the Bridge Baron 26. My email is [email protected]. I live in California.

It's a good game, but I don't understand why, when I start it up, it always says, "Checking for an internet connection." I never use the internet for a game. This is version 26, I have had previous versions and it seems to me that all they do for new versions is add far-fetched conventions that hardly anyone would ever use.

The Bridge Baron has a major problem. The information about the bidding is SO SMALL that it is next to impossible for me to read what bids are made and what the results are.I direct 3 or more games a week (over a hundred players) and am often asked for info about how to improve one's game.I would not be able to suggest this as a source of improvement. Most of the players are retired and would have problems playing Bridge Baron.because the bidding info is TOO SMALL.Some of my partners were going to upgrade to BB26, but on seeing my copy, decided not to buy the new version..

I enjoy playing with the Bridge Baron, but I think the deals are too repetitious. Too many 3 NT bids. I think there should be more variety in the bidding. And I find that the play is slow, too much time between each card played. I had Bridge Baron 16 at one point and remember that it was much more enjoyable to play. Hopefully this will help.

I have only had this on my Imac for a few days but so far it has worked flawlessly. Gameplay is a little clumsy with more steps between hands compared to older versions of Bridge Baron. (I have used the program since version 13). My only small minor annoyance is that even on my 27" screen the bidding icons are a little small and hard to see. Possibly the reason is that I have my computer set to see more items on the screen and it makes each item smaller. Bridge Baron is a must for any bridge player who wants players to practice with. It's bidding and game playing aren't perfect (as most human players) but great for keeping in practice.

I loaded it on my computer and then when i wanted to open the program it asked me for a serial number and i typed in the number shown in the case the disc came in but it did not like that number. I have had too much going on to contact you and seek help.

Helpful for practice. I especially like the high degree of convention tailoring. Just wish it were faster with its "thinking" time when one turns up the skill level.

Bridge Baron 26 is the next best thing to actually playing bridge in a club. The software is complex, but that just means that even for an advance player there is plenty of challenge. Best of all Bridge Baron 26 is always there. If you have a few minutes while your computer is heating up you can play a few hands. Bridge Baron 26 is great.
