Quiet and Strong—Perfect for Damp Rooms
I installed this HG Power 8 Inch Exhaust Fan in a hot tub room, and it’s been a total win. The fan tackles humidity like a champ, especially when paired with a humidity control switch. What really stands out is the variable speed control—it gives you flexibility depending on how much airflow you need. Even at full blast, the sound is more of a smooth, whooshing air movement rather than an annoying buzz. On the lowest setting, it’s barely noticeable, making it perfect for quieter moments.Another highlight is the automatic damper—it seals up nicely when the fan’s off, keeping outside air and odors from creeping back in. Overall, I’m impressed by how well-made and adaptable this fan is. Great blend of power and subtlety—like a bouncer in a tux. What I Reviewed: HG Power 8 Inch Exhaust Fan with Speed Controller, 567 CFM Kitchen Exhaust Fan with Damper, Wall Exhaust Fan, Metal Extractor Fan for Window, Attic, Ceiling, Basement, Bathroom Ventilation

Decent Budget Exhaust Fan for Oddball Spaces.
I bought this to use as an exhaust fan for my laser engraver. It works well installed through the wall as shown. I like the plug in cord with a switch built in, no wiring required, just plug it in and turn it on to use. The price is good, in fact the 6" holesaw that I bought to cut the hole in my office wall costs more than the fan. I wish it came with a cover for the outlet but at this price I won't complain about that. You'll have to purchase of fabricate a cover for that end.

Venting my apartment's attic.
Using this vent hot air our of the attic of my apt. My contractor installed a vent on the roof and punch a 7" hole on the ceiling of the attic. Installed this to help suck out the hot air out.Using 4x thermopro thermometers and my Casio that has a thermometer and hygrometer, the temp ( at least in the spot under the fan) went from 91* to 87* in 1 hour. Then dropped addiotional 3 degrees to 84* in another hour.I took out the baffle per the instruction as it's intalled upwards and simply plugged it in. It is loud, but it's in the attic, so it's not an issue for my case. It's only been a day, and I intend to leave it on for the entire Summer, so let's see hoe long it lasts.

Quiet and smoky speed adjust
It is a lot quieter than the 8” version and when the speed is dialed down it’s even quieter

Kitchen exhaust
I installed the fan through the wall behind my stove. I rewired the fan to be used with a wall switch. I added a 6 inch, 90 degree elbow and section of round duct. I made a fine screen to keep out bugs. It works fine in this application.

It doesn't do what it said it would
It doesn't pull smoke out the room as shown in the video. I believe I just wasted my money
