Good exhaust for oven
I installed this fan to mount right above the oven vent in our home. The air-fryer function of the oven inevitably generates smoke that our over-the-stove microwave vent could not handle and would fill the kitchen with smoke. Didn't want the expense of a big oven vent or lose the location of the microwave so thought I would try this. Our kitchen back into the garage so it was easy to just vent smoke out there. Eventually I will connect to the outside. Works great!! Sucks ALL the smoke from the oven out of the kitchen -- in fact air movement is enough to vent anything on top of the stove, too, although that wasn't what I put it in for. Seems well made and fits a 6" hole if you have a saw that can make one. Makes some noise, but not as much as the microwave vent on high. I wonder if I could use it with a speed control... hmmmm...

Is no good there fans are very nice but leaving them on for more than 40 minutes is a danger because they dry out.

Kitchen exhaust
I installed the fan through the wall behind my stove. I rewired the fan to be used with a wall switch. I added a 6 inch, 90 degree elbow and section of round duct. I made a fine screen to keep out bugs. It works fine in this application.

Garbage
Ordered two, both were damaged

Quality fan
As others have noted this is a heavy duty quality built 6" fan. It moves a lot of air (300 cfm not sure, that's a lot of air. I have equipment to measure the flow just haven’t done it. One of these days...)The noise level comes from the air, not the motor. You can't move that much air through a small fan quietly. Its very quiet at minimum speed which still moves quite a bit of air. Guessing slightly less than half speed. Some fans on a speed control whine at reduced speed, no trace of that here. I dropped it a notch because the speed controller is mounted near the plug instead of near the fan, inconvenient. It also operates backwards, starting at maximum instead of minimum speed as others I have do (have several AC Infinity fans also high quality). Not logical either and usually want minimum speed so have to turn quite a bit. Minor but...On value for the price I give it a 5. It's worth the money, but advise buying the one with the speed control unless you need the full airflow all the time, and noise is not an issue.

Amazing quality for the price!
I wasn't expecting much when ordering this fan, just a small exhaust fan to keep temperatures down in my attic and elsewhere. I ordered two, and the quality of both is amazing. All metal construction, even the blades. The whole fan feels heavy, constructed well, and worthy of the name "industrial fan" they put on the front of the owner's manual. It's also very well balanced and doesn't rattle or shake, despite the high speed. This is not a quiet fan that you want in your living room or something, it moves a lot of air, which is going to make some noise. Another big plus is the cord which is extra long, with a nice switch. I'm very happy with this purchase.

No velocity …very slow moving fan way overstated CFPM
Threw it out after I had to buy another fan that was more efficient for my application. This thing has no power to move air through duct work
