The robe and shorts are not stretchy but are a slippery silky material. The robe does not have loops for the strap so it kinda just wraps around your waist and accetuates the figure rather than keeping the roble closed. I am 5'1 at 180lbs and I ordered an xl that fit good. The shorts are little big compared to the fit of the rest of the pieces but if I would have gotten a L, it would have been too small.
