Quaker, Instant Grits, Original, 12 Count, 12oz Box (Pack of 6)

I'm from the deep south. I like grits. Savory, not sweet. These instant grits packets deliver the flavor, texture, and flexibility of stove-top grits, but all you need is 1/2c of boiling water. My wife has a very restrictive diet (6FED if you want to do further reading) so we need the grits with nothing added to them. These fit the bill, and they are travel-friendly because you can prep them using the coffee pot in a hotel room. She tried these with her favorite add-ins (a bit of chicken bullion and some olive oil) and they were, to her taste, just as good as what I make on the stove top. I tried a packet with MY favorite add-ins (bullion and butter) and to my perhaps more discerning taste they were *almost* as good as stovetop grits. There's just the faintest flavor of (and I'm not sure how to describe this accurately) additional processing. But that's instant anything, really. These are much easier to make than stovetop grits, and nutritionally they're every bit as good. Quaker is our preferred brand for grits and oatmeal, and the consistent quality is why.

If you like grits, but don't want to wait a long time cooking, then these instant original grits should be for you. With water, they cook up fast, add butter and black pepper and you have yourself a nice hot tasty treat. I love grits!🥰

I know most people eat this with salt. Not me. I promise they taste great with sweetener, or regular sugar.
