I bought this for a science project for my daughter’s class. I love that it came with two kaleidoscopes – it allowed her to practice on one at home and then use the other to make in class for her project. It was simple to use and she had fun making it.

Did these with my grandsons this summer. They had a lot of fun picking what to put inside the cup. Once all together they were amazed. They were in awe. It was a great project.

This was not a very good product it came with no directions and the peices fall off.

Very nice but directions were weird, like they were translated to bad English. But kit was good, but some included items (like the plastic pyramid) were not identied or explained how to use (we figured you use to help make the prism, but since there was only one, when we took it out of one to reuse, we wrecked what we were doing on the original. Also the stick on tube outside coloring was rather hard for the young ones to put on smoothly. The sloppy older grandson showed how his 'textured' outside looked 'really cool,' but then had difficulty putting the eyepiece on top of the decorated tube....better instructions would not help those 'independent' thinkers,bthough.

This is a great product. The directions aren’t super detailed but we managed just fine. Is you have additional small sparkling beads you can add them to make it more personalized. The included prism seemed like it may be acrylic and its reflective quality was a little disappointing. For this price making 2 kaleidoscopes was a great deal!

I hope they work well, my twins love to draw, This makes that more fun.

As another reviewer noted, neither of the clear object chambers will open. The plastic seems to be fused together, making the kit worthless. The instructions are easy to understand, if not very detailed. Comes with a nice assortment of beads, stickers, and decorations. Really you could put plenty of other things (glitter, marbles, dried flowers) in there, too…if the object chamber worked as intended. The prism is very low quality. Very disappointing.
