I picked up a used Culligan AC-30 reverse osmosis unit at a local auction house. It cost me about half of what this faucet/dispenser cost. When I got it home and got a really good look at it I realized the dispenser mount was broken and irreparable. There was no way to securely and properly mount the faucet to the sink. Not a big deal as this RO system was around $1,500.00 new and installed. So I needed a compatible faucet and after digging around on Amazon I decided this one would work. It does. I mounted this to a deep sink (laundry sink) in my private shop and man cave, a detached building on my property. That was a real headache but no fault of the faucet. It's dark and tight behind that sink where this faucet has to go and it took considerable effort to get it in place. I had to cut a hole in the fiberglass sink with a hole saw and then proceed from there. The tubing that comes attached to the unit is a real help because I could mount the faucet before making all the other connections. It would have been even more of a headache without those pre-attached lines. Once the faucet was installed I connected everything and discovered that the drain and air gap line diameters are reversed. I had to fabricate some adapters because I wanted to get this working without having to wait for more parts to be delivered. After that I sanitized and flushed the RO system, then installed new filters and turned everything on. (I was originally going to take off one star for the reversal of the line diameters but when I looked more carefully at the item description it has the correct information in that regard. So this was my error, not an error on the part of the vendor or whoever did the item description. I did order some of the correct push connector adapters in case my fabricated adapters eventually leak. They're cheap, might as well have them on hand.) It takes quite a while, several hours, to go from an empty RO system to a fully charged state with the pressure tank full and everything in normal readiness to dispense filtered water. Between those two points I noticed some water leaking, both a small spray and drip, from the air gap hole in the back of the faucet. That situation resolved itself when the system got up to full charge and was ready to dispense after dumping the first three tanks of water to be certain everything was as good as it was going to get. There has been no further leak at the air hole since. There has been no leakage from anywhere since the system became fully operational. I checked for leaks diligently several times a day for the first few days after installation. I can't have water leaking , it will damage things in the building. There are no leaks after completing the installation. I'm pretty careful and take my time with projects like this because if you don't have time to do it right the first time you'll just have to make time to do it over later. I'm not an expert and I'm not OC but I do try to be thoughtful and thorough with the DIY projects I take on. I found and downloaded both the owner's manual and the technical service manual for my RO system. I read all that and made sure I understood everything I needed to before beginning the installation. I checked and rechecked water line connections and did find several that were not perfectly dry so I tinkered with them until I got them perfectly dry. This usually involved pushing the water line further into the connector and then gently tugging on it after it was fully seated. It's easy to think you have the line fully seated when it's not so if you have a leak, the problem is probably how the line is attached not that something is broken or defective. In one case I had to cut the end of the line so it was perfectly squared off, it was cut at a nearly unnoticeable angle and that allowed a leak. In another case I couldn't see anything wrong with the line but cut 3/4 inch off it anyway and re-attached it. That solved that leak. Etc. You just have to keep fiddling with things until they work right. In my experience it's the very, very rare project goes perfectly on the first try. Once you think you're done you're not, but you are in a position to find and fix any problems. After doing all that the system is sealed up and working as expected so that's the point where I consider the project completed. The faucet looks very nice but like I said, this is a shop not a home so I don't really care about the aesthetics. I care about function much more than form. When the system is charging I can hear a trickling of water from the dump side of the osmosis filter into the sink drain. It's not a gurgle nor a hiss or anything unpleasant. It kind of sounds like one of those little fountains you can buy that just moves water so you can hear it. This sound is probably because I was limited in where I could mount the tap to the drain for the dirty-side dump. I think if I could have mounted it lower and closer to the gooseneck in the drain the water wouldn't fall quite so far and would be quieter. The sound is not a problem for me and it only makes that noise as the tank is recharging. I sort of like it, it's a pleasant "tinkle" of water and I know that when it stops doing that my tank is full. All in all, including this faucet, the cost of the unit and miscellaneous hardware I needed to install it, I'm into this RO system for well under 10% of what a new AC-30 Good Water Machine would have cost installed. I'd say that's a fair return on my time and money and this faucet made it possible. This faucet functions properly when properly installed. Excepting defective units that somehow got past Quality Control, which is admittedly an issue with things made in China, if someone can't get this to work right it's most probably because they're not installing it right. Or they're damaging it during installation. Or they didn't get something tight and it pulled loose while the system was being installed. When you see a review where a claim is made of a defective unit being replaced with another unit that is also defective -- What you're seeing is someone who didn't do this right and broke it, then repeated that same process and broke the replacement unit also. Or simply repeated the thing that made them think the original was broken. This is a pretty simple mechanism and there's not much to go wrong with it. Seals are always an issue with water lines and if a leak is the problem that's more likely due to an error in installation than a defect. That kind of thing is easily fixed too. The odds are good that if something goes wrong, especially more than once, it's human error and not a problem with the faucet. My experience with this faucet makes me comfortable in recommending it. The price might be a little high for what it is but I couldn't find an air gap faucet that I liked for any less money. A big factor in my decision to purchase this was the pre-installed clearly designated lines that come with it. I wouldn't have saved a lot if I'd have had to figure that part out for myself and had to cut and install those lines from scratch. The price is good, not great but you're getting what you pay for.

It worked, I bought this to replace whirlpool faucet that broke. I had to buy a 1/4-3/8 connector and a 1/4 blue tube to attach to the thicker 3/8 blue tube from whirlpool. FYI: I initially had leaks at the connectors that were provided, but that was quickly solved. I realized when attaching the connectors I was not pushing the tubes all the way to the end of the connectors until it cannot go forward anymore. Obviously if your cutting the tubes makes sure it is a straight cut.

I only gave this 1 star because I can’t rate it any lower. Installed the same I received it and it leaks like crazy. The water is coming from the internals of the faucet. I had to buy an adapter because the system only come supplies for 1/4” water lines. This was worst item I have ever bought, the worst value for the money. It’s definitely either cheaply made or defective. I would highly recommend people to stay away from this faucet and not buy this! I want my money back. I am returning the first faucet and a replacement was sent, it leaked worse than the first faucet. This product is terrible and would highly suggest not to buy this product. Cheaply made and there is an issue with internal valve assembly.

Works great easy to install

Looked great, I wish it would have worked with my existing system. It was returned. The hose sizes didn't match up.

The choices are limited for an air gap faucet. That said the installation was straightforward with ikea like directions, nice tool for tightening the faucet to the counter and several variable tub connectors. Once everything was connected and I turned the water back on it was a literal flood. Water was running out of the air gap hole the valve and the point where the spigot connected to the valve body. No amount of tightening, wiggling or cursing helped. Disconnected and returning. Second try, same brand same model. Smooth install ( practice makes perfect) absolutely no leaks. Other reviewers had similar issues and that’s why I tried a second one . As to longevity, will see. The new model does gurgle the old one didn’t. It’s a little annoying but… Plan is to ditch the reverse osmosis system for a simple filter system when it’s time to replace the 4 filters in the RO system with its many tubs, filters, tank and connectors. The faucet leaked when first installed, it was found that the pre-installed bibs the red and black hoses came attached to were not even finger tight. After correcting, it works as advertised

This product is terrible. As others said it leaks and caused damage in the hour we had it installed. It’s poorly made and I encourage you to not waste your time or money. Would have given zero stars if that was an option

A little tricky to install but that has more to do with getting in the narrow area behind our sink, and the thickness of our granite countertop! The included tool was absolutely necessary and we were so grateful to have it! The tap works perfectly (so far) and we haven't had any issues. The knob does seem backwards, compared to our old tap, so we find ourselves turning it the wrong way all of the time, but long enough with this installed and it will become second nature to us too, we're sure! Excellent flow, tight & snug without jiggling and shiny as can be! Can't go wrong!

The color matched our fixtures perfectly and the wife is happy lol
