This paring knife has not disappointed. The non-stick coating on the sides makes a huge difference- it just glides through food. When it's sharp, you can cut an overripe tomato into neat rounds with this knife (most other knives would just squash said tomato as the sides dragged through). I have quite a few knives, but this has become pretty much the only one I use for anything smaller than a head of cabbage or a loaf of bread. What do I use for those? The other, larger knife in the same series. There are only two downsides to this knife: 1) the blade is thin and flexible, so you can't really use it to pry (for example, to remove avocado pits), and 2) it seems to get dull faster than some of my other knives. But, hey, it takes five minutes to sharpen a knife, so I don't really care whether I have to do that every month or every three months... If you are purchasing it to skin a buffalo as some buyers seem to have done you will be disappointed and you should be ashamed of expecting such heavy duty work from so inexpensive a product.. It is thin and exceedingly sharp, comes with a clever container that protects its edge and is superior to classic steel knives at the tasks for which it is manufactured.
