Perfect for refinishing marble dresser top
I had a family heirloom that I inherited recently. It was an antique dresser with a marble top. The top was in bad shape with lots of scratches, some quite deep. I was able to get all but the deepest of the scratches out and put a nice shine on the marble top. Just what I needed for this project. The pads appear to have lots of life left on them, though I don't have a current use for them. Maybe I'll pick up something else that needs polishing...

They work.
For the first time I purchased a product over Amazon with the word "diamond" in it that actually did what it was heralded to do. These "polishing" pads (50-200 grit) are great for removing cutting marks and smoothing surfaces in stone sculpture; much like using a sander on woodcarvings--and almost as quick. This is what I hoped they would do and all I wanted. (I'm working in limestone and other porous rock.} However, I had some trouble with the more refined grits when I tried to get a polish on the surface of the rock and bring the color out. Even when wetting I noticed the stone surface began to blacken. I need more practice, obviously. As an alternative, I polish up to the 200 grit and then apply finishing wax (for wood) to the stone surface; this not only brings out the color, but also creates a dull sheen that is very attractive. (Sorry, too lazy to get up and take a photograph.)

Wast of time very very duol will not cut marbale
wast of money will not cut marble I can do better with hand pads Up graded the review to 4 stars First, this company send me email and explained the issue with thread size, needed to have 14mm to fir the grinding machine. OK, thanks for the info and I thought that was the end since I returned the product. Then few days later I receive duplicate of my order with correct size thread on the adapter plate. Now that I did not expect, this is a first company that has gone this far to correct a problem, for that I give you 10 stares if I could. As for the power of the marble cutting disks they are still dull and do not seem to grind the marble. I do have enough of water so I'm not cutting dry, I don't know I might be not using the disks correctly. Also RPM on grinding machine are at the lowest position about 100-150 RPM I just don't know what I'm doing wrong or the disks are not abrasive enough, but this is not working for me.

Polish to a glassy shine
I use these to smooth the bottoms of pottery pieces I make. I use the pads on a random orbital sander. Use a little water and you get a super smooth polish by the time you hit 200 grit. If you go to 3000 it's like a glass surface. Pads are holding up well so far.

Works well when the pad stays intact
I was making really good progress polishing the concrete on a fire table I built, but then the polishing pad holder tore apart. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to pit them to use until after the return period. The parts do seem to be of good material, very possible I just got a pad pad holder.

Worth it!
I needed these for a concrete bar top that was previously finished and needed to be stripped and reapplied. This made the work pretty easy.

The metal locking nut sheered from rubber pad now everything is useless

The thread size is not the standard M14, it is larger, so only works with large concrete grinders, not standard angle grinders that can take a 125mm pad. This is not specified on the ad. The pads are okay, but not as effective as others I have used. Even using the 50grit took a long time to get surfaces somewhat smooth.

The thread size for the backing pad wasn't the standard M14 size which wasn't specified at all, so this product can't be universally used on a grinder. The sanding pads were entirely ineffective despite using multiple techniques, grinders, and sanders to attempt to get them to work
