Power Animals: How to Connect with Your Animal Spirit Guide Paperback – April 14, 2015

Wow! I recently (about 6 months ago) discovered and have become a big Steven Farmer fan. This book, as might be expected from anything this man has to offer, is terrific--and the CD guided meditation is just amazing! The journey I discovered for myself by following the meditation as it played is still with me, has inspired copious notes and I'm still finding delightful, helpful inspiration from it to this very day! And he instructs you on how to take these inner travels at any time. The CD is just a jump-starter for you to begin exploring wonderful parts of your inner universe that you've probably missed out on for far too long. You need an adventure Now, don't you? Well, why not give yourself an overdue treat for the spirit and find the very companions that are waiting to accompany you? Just do it.

Well written and clear and organized. Learned so much and found it fascinating. My only disappointment is that the author kept referring to the CD that has meditations to find and work with your power animal. Since I bought the ebook, I don't have this and would have loved to have that CD.

Power Animals, by Steven Farmer, is a neat introduction to the topic of Power Animals.I was excited to learn about shamanic journeying and all kinds of animals. There were relatively few animals presented as guides, however.Also, I expected there to be a script or two one could read to take oneself on a shamanic journey to find your power animal.And there were.Just nothing out of the ordinary self-help dream-inducing hypnotic variety.I gave it 4 stars, because the book did what it said: it gave information about power animals, and helped you find yours. It was an easy read, and I read it well inside a single day's worth of time. I wish there were more information about more animals.I would have loved to look up the Power Animal from Edward Norton's character Tyler Durden in the movie "Fight Club": the mighty Penguin. Sadly, I couldn't.That aside, this is a decent book for those new to the idea and practice of Journeying. Get it if you are a Newbie.

This is a good introduction to animal spirits and totems and animal shamanism.The book provides guided steps to find our animal helper spirit, and gives some details on several major traditional animal helpers (qualities associated with each animal, message that each animal gives you, and how/when to contact your animal spirit). The list is limited to 35, so your animal might not be here; the list has a notable absence of birds in it, with just few included. Another book by the same author provides a more exhaustive catalogue of animal helpers ( Animal Spirit Guides: An Easy-to-Use Handbook for Identifying and Understanding Your Power Animals and Animal Spirit Helpers )The book is simply written, well structured, and it reads with gusto.The text refers repeatedly to a CD with meditations to find and communicate with our animal helper that it is available in mp3 format with the Kindle edition; to retrieve it, use the password provided at the Hay House website (previous registration) and it is yours for free.Very useful for beginners, and a so very cheap!

This book has very important information about different aspects of communicating with the Animal Spirit Guides, finding your power Animal and I loved CD! The guided meditation is very helpful and the second part gives you freedom to do your own meditation! I just loved the book and CD!

Great book. I bought the physical book years ago and misplaced it. The kindle addition has a code you can use for a digital download of the CD. So glad I found this on kindle since I enjoy my digital library.

After reading the questions presented for this book, violence, sexual content, first person, second person, third person, alternating person, I really did not know what to say. Yet, I do know when I read books like this, my mind has to be open to understanding what each animal means in there own culture and place. A black bird in Northern California, may not have the same meaning as one on the Hawaiian Islands, or in Alaska.I purchased this book for pleasure and allowing myself of honor each living animal has a message and meaning, just as humans.

I like this book because it contains a CD with meditation drum rythms that allow you to connect with your power animal and because it covers every aspect of having a power animal in your life: helps you find it and then communicate with it. What I don't like about this book is the fact that it is way too short and brief. For example, Farmer writes that it's not good to talk about your power animal with other people because it's disrespecful and you can risk diminishing the power you receive from it. Well, I understand the concept, but I just don't get it exactly. I'll do as he suggests, but I'm going to do some research on my own to get to understand this more.Regardless, I am glad to have this book in my library. I am new to power animals that's why I feel the need to know more than what is written in this book. I loved this book, but as I bought it on kindle, no CD came with it which would have enabled me to do the meditations ad other exercises. That was disappointing, as I only realized the CD existed after reading the book.

Awesome, interesting and didactic!I recommend that book for the ones who are in search of their spiritual lives! Enjoy!

El gran valor que le encuentro a este libro es que trae como bonus un link para descargar los audios con las meditaciones y música para hacer meditaciones y conocer a tu animal de poder. Experimentarlas ha sido lo máximo, son meditaciones guiadas, sencillas y muy claras. Es un gran producto que te pone de lleno en el mágico mundo de los animales de poder.

Very Good Book. I use it reference everyday to connect to this world

I use the book daily. I also purchased a kindle copy so I can access it away from home. Since purchasing I'm seeing animal and insect and mythical shapes in the clouds. When insects crowd around me I see them in a different light and ask the if they have anything they want to impart. Then I look it up in the book and sometimes implement the suggestions. My awareness of my physical environment seems to be heightened. The way the book is set up makes it easy to use and gives me ideas of what to look for in my life. Usually the description of what may be happening in my life is accurate to the extreme.
