Why did you pick this product vs others?: I purchased the pink toaster. It is beautiful, BUT it has never turned on. I made the mistake of not checking if it worked as soon as I received it. I didn't need to use it when I first got it. So, the first time I attempted to turn it on, was 2 days beyond the day to be eligible to be returned. Amazon said I needed to contact Keenstone. I have sent them numerous messages and have not received any returned calls or emails. I am extremely disappointed! My advice is to plug it in and try to turn it on AS SOON AS you get it to make sure it works!!! I saw the reviews and videos of people's toasters catching on fire before I purchased it. I should have listened to other people's advice of not purchasing it. UPDATE: The company, Keenstone, eventually responded to my messages and sent me a new one! It is amazing! It works very well, matches my kitchen, and is perfectly pink!!! I love it. Thank you very much for the impeccable customer service!

Nice looking, works wonderful. Exceptional flexible settings allow the pickiest in our family to get it right. The defrost setting is a nice feature. The toast time is about standard , and the heating elements are spaced well, giving an even toasting. I can't speak for durability, but my last toaster made it for 17 years. W e shall see...

I bought this toaster primarily for the looks because I wanted something that was a little retro but was red. It looks fantastic, and it works well. To keep in mind, I pretty much use it a couple times a week and only toast bread, and I never changed the setting. In my use case, it works like a dream. If you are a heavy user or toast bagels or toast frozen bread, I don't know how it would work, but if you just do it like I do and you want a nice red looking toaster, go for it. You will be happy.

Keenstone Toaster 2 Slice, Retro Wide Slot Stainless Steel Toaster ($39.99): sturdy build, generous slots, even heating, good insulation, and a cord that’s actually long enough. The lift is strong and brings the toast nearly to the top. The temperature dial is properly spaced and gives real control — everything from “barely warmed” to “charcoal” is distinct and repeatable. Even the defrost setting works correctly. I especially appreciate the metal lift arm; it feels like it won’t snap off the way so many consumer-appliance parts do. Overall, this toaster feels like it may actually last. Next time I need a small appliance, I’ll check whether Keenstone makes one.

I love this toaster...looks better than I expected. The color is a more of a creamy beige, which is what I was hoping for. It looks great on my countertop and is very well made. It has the look of that designer toaster without the high cost. So far it works great at toasting evenly. I would highly recommend it!
