Would a three year old have trouble holding them because her hands are small?

They are very light weight. I got them for my three year old grandson. He loves them. At first you my have to focus them for the three year old but they learn very quickly.

The listing says the recommended age is 432 and up. That seems pretty old. Any idea what it actually is? Thanks.

I can only say that I purchased these binoculars for my 9 year old great-granddaughter and she loves them. Her 5 year old sister liked them so much that I bought a pair for her. She also loves them. I really don't know actual age range but I do know they work well for 5 yo & 9 yo.

Are they to small for an 8 year old boy?

I got the binoculars for my grandson at 8 and he still uses them at 9 years old. They set him off from the "play" binoculars I got for his younger sisters and everyone wants to use his. They don't have the magnification of an adult's, but much lighter and less unwieldy.
