I recommend getting the floor protector inserts as well unless you're putting it on carpet or concrete. The 48TA is pretty awesome -- plenty high enough and very solid. Reminds me of the stands we used (and abused) in school. It feels a little rough when adjusting the height ( I really have to muscle it up and down), but that just tells me it's not going to drop under weight. As others mentioned, not the greatest for sitting and playing, unless you're on risers, in which case you'll be a hero if you show up with this. setup requires a flathead screwdriver and an 11/16 wrench (or socket).
