Easiest way to tell is to look at the photos. If three motor wires are on OPPOSITE end from the long shaft (like this Flash Hobby D3548) it cannot be reversed. If the three motor wires are on the SAME end as the long shaft they can be reversed. (Like the Surpass or Hobbyhh.) Typically they come with an adapter that mounts on the end of the motor and has the appropriate size shaft for your prop. **Q: What ESCs are compatible with this motor?** A: Depending on what battery and current drain minimum 30 amp brushless. With 4 cell battery minimum 40 amp. Great motor Have bought several. **Q: Can you adjust the axial position of the shaft? If not, can you take apart the motor and put it back together?** A: I have taken a D2836 motor apart. There is an access screw to take the shaft out. Smooth and powerful. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Used it to replace timber x motor *by G***E on August 31, 2025* I got this as a replacement for my timber X. It wasn't a direct bolt on but I used the stock motor mount and two of the screw holes line up on the motor and it's been fine.
