I'd really been aiming for a 3080 or 6800 XT, but got impatient enough that the 3090 actually in my cart (!!) was irresistible. Three weeks in, I have absolutely no regrets. The RTX 3080 is a far better value proposition if you can find one at MSRP, and the ASUS TUF Gaming version is physically almost identical (visually indistinguishable) from this 3090. That being said, I do take some comfort in knowing that with 24GB of VRAM this GPU will not need upgrading for several years. This card is beautifully built, fast, cool and quiet. I have not pushed its limits, but a modest overclock (on top of the factory OC) of core and memory clock speeds can be easily accomplished with no significant increase in temperature or fan noise.
