Wright ProductsVWA214SB Washburn Surface Mount Latch, Seville Bronze

Bought the screen door from Lowes or Home Depot, I can't remember but the wrights bronze handle wore out as they are using cheap steel or aluminum for the internal mechanism of the latch and it keeps bending out the lower part of the latch so when you push the handle down it doesn't move enough to open the door. I ordered a new one from Amazon, excited to know I could find a replacement. I can see that it barely lasted 45 days. Stay clear if you can.

Already broken within 3 weeks of being installed

As others have said this is junk. The internal parts are weak die cast and break apart easily. Since it is under warranty I keep taking back to Home Depot who replaces for free BUT I am now replacing the 4th one in 2 years. DO NOT BUY

This is a piece of trash that everyone should stay away from. I purchase mine from Home Depot but all the reviews there are just as negative. This company does not know how to make a latch. All the internal parts are cheaply cast metal that broke apart for me as well as everyone else that was unlucky enough to have purchased it.

I bought one of these at the Home Depot Store, Been about 3 months now and it has broken, the parts inside are of cheap material, the catch will not retract all the way when either the inside or outside handle is pushed down. Tried applying some grease and some way to adjust, no adjustments at all, now looking for a new latch but it won't be another one of these.

Junk. Bought 2. Both broke.
