The built-in pump protrudes about two inches beyond the mattress edge, and this interferes not only with the placement of the mattress but also the movement of the mattress during sleep. Second, it had the "pillow rest," which did not make for a comfortable sleep, at least for me. Perhaps others might find that feature to be a plus, especially in a camping situation, but for me it made sleeping with a traditional pillow very uncomfortable--I ended up having to scoot down and dangle my feet off the end of the mattress to escape the discomfort of the built-in pillow rest. But, hey, that's just me. I did not give up on Intex, which is a reliable brand for this type of product, nor did I abandon the idea of sleeping on an air mattress as my main bedding.
