Review: Very good purchase! - I’ve had the Stiebel Eltron DCE-X 10/12 kW Premium for one month now and it’s been an absolute game-changer for my kitchen sink and bathroom sink. From day one the water temperature is rock, no temperature swings, just instant hot water exactly when I need it. The digital display and touch controls are super intuitive, and the unit reacts instantly when I adjust the flow or temperature. I installed the unit myself and it was really straightforward. I only had a qualified electrician come in to check the wiring and make the final connection to meet UK legal requirements. It’s whisper-quiet in operation, and the build quality feels truly premium- exactly what you expect from Stiebel Eltron. Energy efficiency is excellent too. If you’re tired of mediocre tankless heaters, do yourself a favour and get this one. Best purchase I’ve made for the house this year. Highly recommended!
Review: Excellent solution for annexe bathroom - Excellent product. Bought it specifically to cater to two outlets, hand basin and shower in the garden outbuilding bathroom. It does the job as expected. Quick supply of hot water in either. It works with the thermostatic shower and mixer tap in basin. Shower is around 2m away from unit and basin 0.5 min. Get hot water in few seconds. Had installed a 10mm2 electric cable to supply power and a 40amp switch. Am using the unit in lower 10.1KW mode that you can set via a jumper. Only minor issue is with the lower waterpressure in shower. Since this is occasionally used, I don't mind. My builder has not used any pressure valve to increase pressure, just did a straight connection. A specialist plumber might be able to sort this out. Overall expensive compared to some other options but great functionally as a long term solution.
