RothcoRanger Vest

I purchased this vest at 7:30 p.m., paid 3.99 for the one day shipping option, and received it around 1:30 pm the very next day. 18 hour shipping through UPS, most impressed and very pleased.Fresh out of the packaging this vest was most eye popping. The accessibility and utility of the multiple compartments as well as the quality construction was apparent. I am 5"10 and fluctuate between 165 to 170 lbs. I wear a 31 waist size and feel most comfortable in a 40 R size coat. The vest has an even fit with slight room for a least 2 light layers if needed. Perfect if you ask me. It holds to the body well when fully zipped even at a full sprint, and the pockets both zipper and Velcro based alike hold shut securely when packed with multiple small items. The large pouch on the back is quite useful, as now I can carry my American flag on my back where ever I go instead of in my bag. Pretty boss. The vest rests just around the waist line to provide easy access to anything you may have attached to your utility belt. The shotgun loops are hefty sewn and will actually house 12 or 20 gauge shells successfully. The polyester and cotton blend gives a certain insulation without being overbearingly cozy. Perfect for fall or windy weather even when under the hot sun.All in all very pleased with this product and highly recommend it. I will be wearing this vest every day of the week. If you are looking for a quality product that runs less than 35 dollars that will provide you with a plethora of travel packing options, look no further. This will serve well in my emergency response gear. American made, American paid, American way.

:D Has more pockets than I know what to do with. It also has a pocket in the back... probably big enough to hold a stack of printer paper. Only "downside" is hood doesn't cover whole head. Although doesn't matter since umbrella/jacket would work better anyway. Looks good and works for casual wear.P.S. The "straps" go across the front are not plastic but like the shoulder strap for backpacks (but not adjustable). Not sure why they look shiny in the pic. They're useful for holding pens/pencils/etc.Update 1 DEC 2013:Lowered rating because it puts too much pressure on the neck rather than on shoulders. It's more comfortable with the hood out (lessens pressure). I thought about returning it but decided to keep it in case I need it later.

While it seems most people say it fits as expected. I am an athletic build 6'0" that usually wears medium shirts, undershirts, etc... with a fitted look. I have a few things in large depending on brand. So I got this vest in a Medium hoping it would either fit perfectly or a little tight. Though it ended up being very loose. Though this might be exactly what you want depending on my much you have layered underneath it.So my 4 stars is not due to sizing, I could easily just go to a small for my use.It feels like a sturdy vest. Hood is completely worthless. Even as a basic wind breaker it is no good. They put it inside a zip close punch in the collar, but they should have just made it a zip off hood. Or simply not included a hood at all. If it was at least a good wind breaker, I might be ok with it. But I don't like the way it feels around my neck in storage in the collar. I removed the drawstring from the hood and then reduced the bulk. But I will likely just cut the hood off completely.Otherwise a good vest. I give the general vest a 4 of 5 stars.Now for my specific need of this vest. A little on the expensive side for my needs. I bought this to make a variation of Han Solo costume. Which I have attached a photo as I altered the vest slightly. I used safety pins to pin back the zippers on both sides to give it a zipper-less look. But so I can unpin it if I even want to zip it up for non costume usage. In the photo, you may see what I am talking about with the size as I was expecting the medium to be a little smaller as I was just going over a shirt with it. So for my use, a small would have been better. I also like that the vest has very similar square pockets for use an a Han Solo vest. This kept modifications to a minimum.

For the price, I was really impressed at the quality. I bought it to completely my Amy Pond police girl cosplay, and it's ideal. Great fit (note their sizing and choose appropriately), lightweight without being flimsy, and the design is exactly what I needed.

hubby looked great as Han Solo. Another guy at the Halloween party wore this same vest as Han Solo too. And it is great quality. Hubby continues to wear it for camping and other hiking outings

Like the two front (not side) pockets, and their Zipper is horizontal (not those half vertical), it may be easy to drop stuff from pockets . I understand it is a Ranger Vest, but I use it as my multi-pocket vest. I Wish there is no shot gun bullet holders strip at front. LIKE it.

Even though I wear this all the time, it's pretty short. Next time I will order a size up and hope for the best.I have to say it's very durable and super handy for outer storage pockets...

I thought it fit pretty well, my only problem was the shell holder not all fit 12 g shells. For the ones that were too small 20 g shells fit

Great vest, well made and very practical. However the zippers on the pockets open the other way. Still, I recommend the jacket and will be buying more from Urban Inspirations. Thank you Amazon !

アメリカサイズとレビューにあったのでワンサイズ落としＭサイズを購入。どう見ても日本のＭサイズと同じサイズのが届いた。170cm自分だと丁度だったので問題はなかったが丈が若干短いかもしれない。あとは、太り気味なので首が少しきついです。.不満は中国製にしては値段が少し高いこと。購入時の値段は￥5,577だった。適正は￥3,000～￥4,000ではなかろーか？

ポケットの数は十分ですが、意外とポケットのサイズが小さいです。スマホなら5インチクラスは入ると思いますが、7インチタブレットは入らない。狩猟やサバゲはしないので、弾薬ホルダー風の部分は不要かな。
