Golden Fox Steel Toe Men's Lightweight Work Boots Moc Toe Boot Insulated

I read the reviews and a lot of them said the boots fit a 1/2 size bigger than your normal size (the reviews are correct).... I usually wear a size 9 1/2 and I ordered a size 9 when I first started wearing them they fit kinda snug, but after a couple days they loosened up and fit fine... I work in construction and have been wearing these boots every day for about 3 weeks now , so far I have no complaints. The leather seems to be red wing quality. The only thing I recommend is buying gel cushion inserts if your feet aren't as cushioned as much as you like.(don't insert them until after you break in the boots)

Feeling compelled to write a review for these boots because they are a REALLY good purchase and value. I bought them mostly for looks and because of the steel toe. I work in the office but periodically on the manufacturing floor which allows me to purchase 1 pair of steel toe boots annually on the company dime. The allowance is $120 but I opted for these because of the looks, I was a little skeptical that they would be cheaply made and uncomfortable, boy was I wrong. Very nice quality of materials on these boots, a little stiff at first but that's to be expected with genuine leather. I am surprised at how comfortable they are and I've been getting compliments in the office all week. Did I mention the price? These are well below a red wing or similar premium branded boot, but I don't think I could get a better boot. Two thumbs up for an awesome American made product. Will be purchasing again next year. Btw, they do run half a size larger than most other shoes.

Pros: LightweightDurable leatherGood looking bootsComfortable when you first put the boots on (however, after 4 hours or so the things that are slightly uncomfortable tend to wear your feet down)Cons:Toe box tapers to a point more like a dress shoe than average rounded toe work boots I’ve had. This makes the toe box feel tighter and rubs on the outside of my big toes.The tongue is all one piece of leather and doesn’t have elastic bands on the sides to stretch and form with the top of your foot. For me, this caused parts where the laces meets the tongue to awkwardly rub against the top of my foot causing pain.

I don't really write reviews but I had to for these. I needed a pair of boots that would last a few months on a deck job so I purchased these because the reviews sounded good, they have a safety toe and the soles are perfect for walking on rebar. Unlike the more expensive brands, these aren't comfortable. Their problem is the way the ankle is designed. They will tear your ankles apart. I wish I could show you how bruised mine are but I'm a bit embarrassed.For construction guys, these are terrible. Best to stick with redwings, thurogoods, etc. Trust me, spend the extra money at least until they fix the design.

My boots came really quickly, granted I live in CA and that's where the boots ship from. Many people in the reviews advised getting a half size to full size smaller than what you might normally wear. I usually wear anything from a 10 1/2 to size 11. I ordered a size 11 hoping they'd be a bit bigger. I have a pretty sizable bunion on my right foot as well as a pinky toe that sticks up on the same foot. This always complicates buying shoes without being able to try them on first. Given the extra room in the boot, my toes are as comfortable as I could hope for boots. I have only just tried them on and not worn them for a full day but the test drive has left me satisfied. Tying the laces extra tight seems to make up for the extra space that exists. I won't be doing intense labor in these and only need them for stocking and driving a forklift. I don't foresee any issues given the light duty I'll be using these for but will update this should anything change. Hope this review helps anyone with similar foot ailments as myself.

I’ve had these for 1 day, wore them to do yard work today including mowing, trimming, raking, etc. The boots were pretty stiff starting out, but have already softened up and were comfortable during the 4+ hours I wore them today. The leather upper is very nice, seems to be high quality. The soles tend to pick up debris/dirt pretty easily, but not a huge problem. Overall for a steel-toed boot at this price point, I think they’re a good value.

I read several places to order a half size smaller than usual, I think my regular size (9) would have been fine but these are probably perfect especially once I broke them in. I got insoles put in so I can't speak to their standard comfort, but overall they feel good and definitely look good. They don't provide the most grip in wet or snow type conditions, but it's not terrible, so I would be careful there. They are definitely lightweight though and don't look or feel like steel toe boots. I got tons of compliments on them (if that's important to you) and recommended them to several co-workers. Durability is still not clear as it's only been 2 weeks but I've spent 80+ hours in these boots and besides some scuffs there's no problems. To sum it all up I like them enough to wear them outside of work on occasion.
